It is very far from the Sydney harbor area so it cost a lot in rides to get back and forth. There is basically no service there. The window in the bathroom was literally missing, and it smelled like feet and cigarettes.

I liked the location it was easy to find, the parking was great, friendly staff, the room very clean & welcoming. The Illinois hotel was one of the nicest hotels Ive visited in Sydney I would definitely visit again 😊 I didnt like walking from my room to the bathroom late at night the hall was dark but lit up when i walked out of the room. The toilet was clean but again the lights turned off as i was still in the toilet i felt unsafe & had to turn my torch from my phone on to see. The location of the male toilet was too close to the female toilet which i felt unsafe using.

For the room to be acceptably clean and for the experience of the stay to be fine would involve SO little effort in terms of just cleaning alone. The accommodation is loveless and feels like a last resort. Unfortunately there was: - no bins in unisex communal bathrooms - stained sheets - rubbish behind cabinets - coffee or beer stained cabinets - a whole sheet missing in that cheap bed wrap technique leaving me to sleep under a stained cheap plastic duvet.
