This is a 3 to 3 1/2 star hotel. Our room was very small and there were very limited options as to where our luggage could be accessed. The bathroom was also very small and there is absolutely nowhere to put any cosmetic bag, etc. But the room was very clean, as well as the bathroom. There was a kettle and a television, and an assortment of pillows to choose from and air conditioning. It’s also located a half a block from Town Hall, so it is easy to access anywhere in the city. You can walk from the hotel down to the harbor. There is plenty of shopping around and access to transportation as well. The bar located downstairs is friendly, and the staff are excellent.When we checked out, they stored our luggage for us. We found all of the staff very friendly and willing to assist us with anything.

The staff were friendly & accommodating, very helpful & able to assist with any questions we had. The room was very clean & well stocked with towels & tea & coffee, cups & saucers, & plates. There was little noise from outside & the view was quite nice too.

The room was very clean. On the small size but cleanliness is important. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You get a discount on the food and drink at their restaurant. We were on the 4th floor and do it was relatively quiet. Location was great very central to get everywhere by walking.

Great hotel if you want to stay in the CBD area of Sydney. Just a few minutes walk to the State Theatre and close to Town Hall train station and Light Rail so easy to get to Circular Quay or Chinatown or Central train station - lots of shops close by on George Street and close to QVB shopping precinct. Room was clean and serviced daily - it was small - I was solo traveller so was OK for me. Food in Bistro was good and small bar under the hotel was friendly. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable. I would definitely stay again.

The wifi is unusable. The hotel wifi uses a firewall which not only stops dating app (like Tinder), but it even prevents you from seeing completely legitimate websites such as restaurant websites, just because they are "unknown" to the firewall app. This was a complete disaster - it forced me to either use international data roaming to find a restaurant, or to awkwardly stand in front of the window, where I could catch an open wifi from a different property. If you plan on using wifi at all, do not come to this property. Other than that, the hotel is fine. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel, and imho not even a 3 stars hotel: the rooms do not have a safe, nor a coffee machine, just a water heater. There is no front-desk or reception, you have to check-in and check-out at the pub. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired - not sure how often the room carpeting is being cleaned, and the bathtub had a large yellow/green-ish spot which might have been mold or rust - either way certainly not a welcome sight. The staff is kind and helpful. 4 (small) bottles of waters are provided every day - that's great.

Hotel overall is outdated. We had a late check in (arrived at 8pm) and we had to go to the hotel’s bar to see a staff for check in. The pictures posted online are wayyyyy to nice for what is really being offered and felt catfished in a way. The elevator can only fit 3 people, and the room Was just subpar. Chair leathers are peeling off, beds was uncomfortable and due for a change since you lay down and it caves in. Bathroom mirrors have molds. Our tv was probably the smallest we’ve ever seen, about 14 in. We didnt even watch cause whyyy?!! We won’t be able to see what the show is anyway cause its just so small. the fridge is screaming to be in an antique store. Omg. The carpet is so nasty, i need to tiptoe to walk around cause there’s no complimentary slippers yikes. We also thought they had a gym but they do not have any. This hotel gotta be better than this. Anyway, the only good thing I can say is the staff are at least very nice. They are friendly, always greeting and welcoming. The location is also what’s keeping this review a 2 star since we are literally in the heart of the city. Qvb is next door as well as the train stations. Shopping malls and stores are within reach. That’s it!
