This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot! A little secret hidden in the poconos. Truly a hidden gem. Very clean. Overly friendly and available staff. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was phenomenal. We will definitely be back soon.

The place is beautiful but the service was terrible. Outside the Olivet Restaurant, which was delicious with great service, the hotel staff were not helpful at all. The concierge was non existent. The room service was a giant pain as there is no menu to order from. You have to walk downstairs to order and have them bring it up. Coffee is not available unless the barista shows up on time and the desk staff can not be bothered to figure out when that may be. I will not return. It’s a shame because the property is lovely.

This hotel is luxurious, new and a must stay!! It is 5/5, with so many fine touches, the grand entrance, the rooms are uniquely designed and the attention to details (plush robes, slippers, 60 inch tv, and the cleanliness is unmatched. It has a indoor/outdoor pool and fine dining on the property. It’s an attractive place with exquisite vibes. I’ve had multiple staycations. Book your stay!

Don’t Judge a Book by its cover

Our stay did not start off well. I feel we were treated differently from the other guests coming in. I feel because we used affirm we were treated like we were not worthy of the same quick efficient and courteous response of the agent checking in. We were made to sit and wait while they “ checked “ our room. People who came in after us and who didn’t have a reservation were sent right to their rooms. Then I did not know I needed an extra credit card to “ put on file” in case “ something “ happened to the room. So I only had my debit card on me. My husband who I bought the trip for as a gift had to use his card. And they took my debit card and put it in the card machine twice… it felt suspicious. Then I had to sign paper work saying who I was, my address and phone number, initial all the rules, no one else checking in had to do that. I really felt we were singled out because we booked through hotels.com and used affirm to pay for it we were singled out. We work hard for our money and we pay our bills and we deserve the same treatment as other guests. This was a gift for my husband for our wedding anniversary and that desk agent made us feel uncomfortable. If the room wasn’t as beautiful as it was I would have left and demanded a refund.

The staff greeted us with smiles but gave us one of the worst rooms, even though the hotel was more than half empty. We were placed on the second floor facing the parking lot, but we didn’t complain and decided to enjoy our stay. Later, we went to have dinner at the hotel’s only restaurant, which came with a wine voucher from our booking. We arrived around 6:20 p.m., and the place was completely empty. However, the waiter went to the back and returned saying they were at “full capacity.” We were confused since not a single table was occupied. He explained that all tables were reserved for later times like 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. While I tried to make a reservation for the next day, an older man came out and told the waiter, “Let them sit outside.” So we were finally seated on the patio, where a few tables were occupied. Dinner was okay — my pasta was fine, but my husband’s lamb was extremely tough and hard to chew. Our waiter was polite and attentive, and we appreciated his service. When we left around 8:00 p.m., the restaurant was still mostly empty — only one couple was seated inside. It made us wonder why we were initially refused an indoor table when it was clearly not full. Sadly, I can’t help but wonder if this treatment was due to racial bias, as I am Asian.

Fantastic Property

It is a very beautiful and comfortable hotel with great service, great food, and a great indoor/outdoor heated pool. I didn't want to leave! The only con I'd say is that it's on a busy road and I was picturing it located in the country-side, but once you're inside you forget about the outside.

Our trip to the Poconos, while it turned out to be uneventful, the Swiftwater made up for it. IMHO, 1st class. The room was great. We had a view from our home of the trees and the feeding area for deer. Each day provided a smile seeing the deer feeding. The patio deck was great, firepit and conversation. One thing though, the fire pit is quite loud as it's gas driven, so you had to talk loud. the food was great. If we ever go back to the Poconos, will stay here again.
