Imagine waking up to a view of the lake, hearing the wind in the trees and perhaps even spotting a moose passing by. At Sjökullen1, our red Swedish cottage near Svenljunga, you’ll find peace, wide open spaces and a genuine experience of nature – perfect for families and nature lovers who want to experience authentic Sweden.

🏡 The cottage 

With around 110 m² of living space, Sjökullen1 can accommodate up to 6 people.
 There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (bath and shower), an open-plan, well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and a cosy living area with a fireplace.
 Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a barbecue area and children’s play equipment are also provided.
From the large sun terrace, you can enjoy the view of the lake – the perfect spot for breakfast in the morning sun or relaxing evenings with a glass of wine.

🌲 Location & Surroundings

The house is situated on a 7,000 m² plot on a gentle slope with a view of Lake Lilla Kvarnsjö. There is a private jetty. In 2027, there will also be a small boat available, which is included. 
The larger lake, Stora Kvarnsjön, is only about 400 m away – with its own jetty, a public bathing area (accessible) and fishing opportunities (fishing permits available).
 In Svenljunga (9 km), you’ll find shops, restaurants and cafés.
The Västergötland region is ideal for walking, swimming, canoeing and berry-picking – a paradise for young and old alike.

Comfort & Extras

Sjökullen1 is heated by an air-source heat pump, electric heaters and the fireplace – ideal for autumn and winter too.
 You can optionally hire a boat, motor and depth sounder, or take part in a guided fishing trip (the guide speaks German). A raft trip with a barbecue is also available. 
 Pets are welcome on request.

Herrliche ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur.Am See gibt es eine Badestelle und man kann auf dem See entspannt Motorboot fahren und dabei die Natur genießen.Im gemütlichen urigem FH ist alles da, was man für Selbstverpflegung braucht. Es war sehr sauber und einladend. Von Vorteil ist ein Ansprechpartner vor Ort, Markus, der sich immer sofort um Anliegen gekümmert hat. Wir haben uns in dem Haus und der umgebenden Natur sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen es gern weiter.Eine Anmerkung zum Schluss: auf den Fotos erscheint der See unmittelbar am Ferienhaus. Tatsächlich muss man ca 200 Meter durch den Wald, was aber auch kein Problem darstellt.

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus mitten im Wald. Die große Vögelvielfalt zwitschert den ganzen Tag. Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage auch bei nicht so gutem Wetter. Man kann wunderschöne Radtouren machen. Gleich am ersten Tag haben wir einen Elch gesehen und insgesamt Fünf mal. Einmal beim wandern und zweimal beim radeln. Und Abends langsam mit dem Auto über abgelegene Straßen sahen wir Rehe, Hasen Kraniche und zweimal einen Elch die Natur die Stille einfach nur schön. Man möchte garnicht wieder weg. Auf dem See hatte der Adler einen Horst, es lohnt sich mit dem Boot hinzufahren. Wir möchten auch Danke an Marcus sagen. Ein toller Verwalter der uns gut betreut hat. Rundum kann man das Ferienhaus nur empfehlen für Familien oder auch nur Paare. Erwähnen möchte ich noch die tolle Qualität der Betten. Super Matratzen. Ich habe noch nie in einem Ferienhaus so gut geschlafen Es ist einfach nur schön. Danke Annette und Danke Marcus
