A wonderful new property! The staff are welcoming and ready to assist in any way possible. The rooms are minimalistic with comfortable beds. The bath products supplied are top notch. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet with healthy alternatives even a munuka honey for the overnight oats. Dinner is also lovely although a bit expensive , with a casual atmosphere.

Beautiful property in a stunning location with water and black sand dunes and beach on both sides. Incredible included breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, baked beans, potatoes, Skyr, fruit, cheeses, smoked salmon, toast, pastries, coffee and juices) in a spacious dining area with views. Ground floor room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location just south of Selfoss and the Golden Circle and an hour from the airport. We stayed for two nights and would definitely return and recommend.

New hotel, cleanliness was good and breakfast excellent. Great view towards the sea. Complimentary parking. However, still construction going on so no spa and some facilities are not functioning such as the TV in the room. It will probably be even greater in a years time.

Hotel is nearly opened last month, maybe April 2026, all facilities is not available at the moment except the lobby and the restaurant. The hotel is excellent, and the vibe are good, it’s romantic resort I ever seen jazz music play around the lobby in the hallway😍 staff is helpful and nice. Excellent breakfast with salmon.

Quiet brand new hotel tucked away on a private beach with fantastic views of the ocean. Room can feel a little small but amenities and furnishing are ultra modern. Good breakfast selection at the buffet. Note that Google Maps navigation doesn’t bring you to the right parking spot as of June 2026, likely due to how new the hotel is

5-star experience from check-in to check-out. Beautiful ocean views from the room and breakfast areas. Modern and calming spaces help to focus on mind/body restoration. The night staff was excellent. The hotel is very new and all electronic based. Several items in our room didn’t work as expected and the young man worked with us to resolve the issues. Very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is still under construction but will no doubt be spectacular when completed. That being said, I think I would have held off opening until more amenities were in place. As stylish as it is, it is somehow cold and a little too stark in design-

The hotel just opened this spring. Could not ask for a better location directly on the ocean, watching the arctic terns nesting. Hotel manager was super nice and helpful. Construction is ongoing to finish suites, etc. It was super quiet when we were there. We enjoyed sitting in the spacious lobby looking at the view. Room was nice although a little dark. Excellent breakfast buffet. They have a few quirks to work out. Will be fantastic when done. Would come back.

The review gets a 3/5 because the hotel is NOT READY FOR GUESTS. It will be a beautiful hotel - SOMEDAY. There are no amenities, our room was missing furniture, TV’s weren’t connected, mattresses had no covering, the door to our room was unfinished - you could see right into our room from the hallway, stairs were not done so lift only - there are countless other unfinished items I could list. Minimally staffed, but the ones there were very accommodating. Dinner was good, however the food came out cold.

Great location. Small rooms. No place for suitcases. Hard flooring and impractical light beige carpet. Breakfast adequate but not great. Dining area overlooks ocean, so nice. Lots of ‘adjustment’ issues (hotel is new) so things may be fixed in the future. Area is lovely. Highly recommend The Red House for dinner in neighboring town of Eyrarbakki, a quaint fishing village a 10 minute drive away. 🙏

Amazing hotel Only been open a couple of weeks Check in very quick, helpful and pleasant Room was beautiful , clean and spacious looking out over the sand and sea, ( shame about the weather but that’s not their fault.) Dinner in evening (3 course set meal) was a little expensive but well worth It . It was delicious . Came with stunning views out to sea. Breakfast was also a delight with plenty of choice. Plenty of areas to chill out in comfort too if weather bad. Staff very helpful when asked questions about area and routes we were taking. Very well earned 10 out of 10. Keep it up guys and congratulations on new hotel you’ve earned it

We were amongst the first few guests at this outstanding new hotel. The location is jaw-droppingly stunning in every direction with sea views on one side and lake/Mountain views on the other. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and high quality down duvet and pillows. The breakfast was excellent and the set 3 course menu was exceptional. The spa area is still in construction but we were sadly only there for a night so probably wouldn’t have had time to use it anyway. I have no doubt that it too will be superb when finished. I have no hesitation in recommending this new hotel to other travellers and will certainly return myself one day.
