Some places make you choose between being productive and being restored. The A-Frame Cabin at The Crossing at Gold Run Creek isn`t one of them.
Tucked into 10 acres of Northern California forest with¼ mile of Gold Run Creek frontage, this intentionally designed retreat is where focus and stillness finally coexist. Wake to the sound of water running year-round just outside your window. Watch deer move through the pines from the picture window over your morning coffee. Then open your laptop, because the high-speed internet is strong, and the forest focus is stronger.
Your Private Space
You`ll have the entire A-Frame Cabin and its attached deck completely to yourself, including a propane BBQ grill. The property shares 10 acres with The Cottage next door (a separate listing), which can be booked together for groups needing more space.
The Location
Gold Run Road ends where the Plumas National Forest begins — and that gate is right at the edge of the property. OHV trails, fire lookout towers with panoramic views, and backcountry access are minutes away. Susanville, 8 miles down the road, has groceries and essentials.
Within striking distance of world-class outdoor destinations: Eagle Lake, Antelope Lake, Lake Almanor, and the legendary Bizz Johnson Trail — a 28-mile mostly-downhill ride from Mason Station into Susanville.
Drive times that matter:
Sacramento: ~3 hours
Bay Area (SF/Oakland/San Jose): ~4.5 hours
Reno: ~2.5 hours
Who Stays Here
Remote workers who need to actually decompress. Couples craving genuine quiet. Hikers, anglers, and OHV riders who want a real base camp. Anyone whose last `vacation` didn`t actually feel like one.
