We liked the large yard for the children to play. The fire pit was a great way to unwind at the end of a hectic day. The kitchen was very well planned and had everything we needed. The only downside was navigating the upstairs bedrooms even with 2 sets of stairs which were steep. The main level was beautiful as was the master suite.

It was a cute rental, definately the old house charm. The one room with 4 beds is really hot so if there was a way to add a window to open woyld be ideal. Other than that, kitchen was stocked, water was amazing (I grew up in stockton springs so water there is superb), beach was adorable and was a good location for traveling to smaller coastal areas like clamming on the flats of second causeway deer isle.Would recommend!!

Beautifully Updated Historic Farmhouse (With a Few Quirks!)We had a fantastic stay at this historic farmhouse! The property perfectly blends over 100 years of historic charm with great modern updates. The furniture throughout the house was in very good condition for a rental property, the overall space downstairs was spacious for our group, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our kids absolutely loved the bedroom with the four twin beds—it was such a fun setup for them.If you enjoy cooking, you will love the kitchen rustic meets functional vibe. It was well-stocked with equipment and the professional-grade stove was a dream to use for family meals.Because the home is over a century old, there are a few structural quirks to keep in mind when booking:1. Stairs: Both sets of stairs are very steep and narrow, which felt a bit uneasy at times, especially when carrying luggage or navigating with younger children or elderl.2. Upstairs Hallway: The upstairs hallway isn't pictured in the listing and features sharp angles and low eaves. Anyone over 5'3" will need to duck in spots, as it's nearly impossible to stand up completely straight in some areas. Overall, as long as you are mindful of the steep stairs and low ceilings upstairs, this is a charming, beautifully updated home, centrally located to the Penobscot Bay region or Bar Harbor that makes for a wonderful stay. We would gladly recommend it!

This was one of my most favorite rentals out of all the rental we’ve ever rented. It’s a beautiful old house on a quiet road with beautiful scenic views and a quiet street to take evening walks on. The inside of the house is beautifully restored and super clean. It has plenty of seating inside and out for a large group. The beds are more than comfortable and the kitchen has anything and everything you could possibly need. It was perfect for our family get away!
