Annual vacation to OIB

The house suited our family perfectly. Was a little disappointed that the deck couldn't accomodate more chairs/ people. It was wonderful that sheets and towels were provided, thank you! The kitchen was fully stocked and very nice. We were told that we'd get a text if early check in was available. Some of us arrived at the house around 3:00 but didnt check the door. I arrived at 3:45, checked the door and the key code worked. It would have been nice if we would have been notified that we could get in early. Thank you for being a pet friendly house. Our dog, Owen, absolutely loves the ocean and being close to the point made for some wonderful walks and beautiful sunrises.

Repeaters ....

New kitchen! Yay. Our gourp has stayed at this house twice a year for the past 3 years. We tend to stay in rather than gad about the area so the discovery of at new kitchen was fantastic. Thanks owners... Now maybe you can deal with the living room seating, it's dirty and worn and pretty uncomfortable cause it's so soft.

GREAT Location!!!

You couldn't get any closer to the beach if you tried! WONDERFUL location. I enjoyed watching the waves as I laid in bed! Vacasa personnel were very friendly and helpful. The house feels like grandma's house with it's well worn furniture but it was exactly what my family wanted. Did I mention the location to the beach??!! If you are looking for a high class modern & sleek home, this is not for you. But if you just want a great place to kick back with your family and friends and enjoy the beach, this is what you want!

Great Location!

The location is tremendous. House was comfortably lived in / family comfort. As others have mentioned, living area furniture is older and not super comfortable. Understandable given the location and situation :-) However the beds were great and the abundance of towels greatly appreciated. We've already booked another stay.

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation. It was the coldest Ocean Isle had been in a very long time, but the staff worked with us to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

It is on the ocean…

The best part of this property is it is right on the ocean. You cannot discount that. Most everything else leaves something to be desired. We ran out of TP the first night. Lucky my son caught it in time to get more at the store. When we called Vacasa they told me once it runs out it is on us. Cool, but there was less than a quarter roll in 2 or 3 bathrooms and no extra roll at all. The AC is way under powered for the unit. It was in the low 90’s outside and the AC inside hit 81 upstairs most of the week. It was set to 70. We are from Phoenix so it didn’t bother us much, but my family from North Carolina were uncomfortable. If this property was not right on the beach I would not rent it again, but it is right on the beach, so there is that.

Poor communication

Arrived on Sat check in to freshly laundered towels that were folded on the beds but were wet and left by housekeeping that way. We put them in the dryer but they would not dry. Put in a call to customer service early Sunday morning and each day after. Were told repeatedly the dryer would be looked at that day. After escalation to a manager, the dryer was repaired on Thursday evening. The end of day 5 of 7 day stay. Very very frustrating. The property is very worn but clean. The high tide came in right under our house the first couple days. You can not get closer to the beach!!! As noted in the house description the only deck is off the kitchen and it has great views and comfortable seating. Every bedroom has a window to view the ocean.
