This oceanfront home is an elevated cottage that sits just a few steps from the open sand. This home has VT flooring throughout, central heat and air-conditioning, a washer/dryer for your swimsuits and beach towels, smart TVs (streaming with guest own login), and free WiFi. Bunk bed room has a TV that allows devices to hook to it - it is NOT a smart TV

Enjoy the ambience of the electric fireplace in the evenings. The kitchen is well-equipped with such conveniences as a microwave and a dishwasher. Other amenities include an open porch with a swing, an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, an oceanfront sundeck, covered parking, and a private walkway to the beach.

Great location and views

Quaint & cozy with all the necessities and then some for an enjoyable stay. Beautiful view of the ocean and an easy walk to the beach. The owner was lovely and helped point out some local places to see and eat at.

The house was absolutely perfect for my husband and our dog. The house was very dog friendly and even offered dog bags and treats! The owners definitely add a personal touch which meant a lot to me. We had a very memorable week and cannot wait to return!

Oceanfront but needs TLC

The ocean view is amazing from the whole back of the house. The outdoor deck area was nice and safe even for little dogs. Just be mindful of the birds flying overhead because the deck area seems to be a restroom target area when they are in flight. The kitchen was well stocked to allow for cooking in. However, that being said, the house definitely needs some TLC! This house has such potential. A few cans of paint and removing dated artwork would be a quick inexpensive fix. Overall, a great week at Holden Beach.

Deceived sleeps 5 NOT 7!

Fantastic beach access and view. Ummm but let me share the rest! Outdated! Counters cracked and chipped. Oven allows heat to escape inside! Get a new oven! Floors sinking in kitchen and master bedroom. Master bed is horrific - had to purchase a $120.00 3” bed topper to sleep! Master toilet wasn’t secure to the floor! The kitchen sink faucet wobbled and looked like a 4 yo installed it. There is filtered water but the faucet for that was hanging loose as well. Washing machine broke 1 day in. No washer the entire week! Spent 1/2 a day of MY VACATION TIME in Shalotte at the laundry mat 👎 No blinds in main living area windows- thermostat stayed 80 inside from about 12pm - 9pm!!! HOT Left 2 days early because this house is just not comfortable! Take care of your property - renters beware!!! This vacation was horrible! I feel like I was completely mislead and taken advantage of. I get to take ONE vacation a year and thank god for the view and access - that’s the only thing that is wonderful about this property! Zero stars!

It was okay.

This is a charming house that would benefit from a little TLC. It was well stocked with all the necessities one could need for their stay. And all appliances were in good, working order. First impression of the house was that it was clean; however, upon further inspection, the shower head in the owner’s suite was covered in black mold. I ended up running to the dollar store for some spray bleach to remedy the situation. While there, I picked up an inexpensive bathroom rug, as one was not provided. As an older person, I feel neither comfortable nor secure stepping onto a bath towel as this is a potential fall hazard. There were several places in the flooring, particularly in the kitchen area, that felt spongy under foot, as if perhaps the subfloor was rotting? The kitchen counter was in poor repair and would benefit from an update. The beds were not comfortable and we ended up purchasing mattress toppers in an attempt to get a better night sleep. The rooms facing the side of the house would benefit from some blackout curtains as the light from the street lamps are not sufficiently blocked by the blinds. We were not provided keys to the guest storage and were unable to access beach chairs during our stay. Overall, it’s a decent house with a wonderful location & beautiful views. However, without some updates it is unlikely that I would book this house again.

Perfect location

The 3 of us enjoyed our stay in this little house right on beautiful Holden Beach. The location is just perfect, wonderful sea view from living/dining/master bedroom and deck. The interior (furniture/kitchen ware) is a little outdated but clean (don’t forget to bring hair dryer and wine opener:-) but despite those we didn’t miss anything). Thanks for letting us stay in your little jewel!

Amazing views

Amazing views, really beautiful location. We would stay here again if given the chance. The house was clean and comfortable, games provided, etc. Some dishes were not clean. The check in process and communiction with VACASA properties was a little confusing especially picking up the key after hours. Except for these 2 points we would give the place 5 stars.
