The room decor and amenities were great. Lobby and outdoor patio area was decorating beautifully. The pool area needed some upkeep. Breakfast is served by hotel staff that didn't seem to want to be at work and all food was behind COVID era plexiglass. If breakfast area was updated to be self-serve continental, would easily change my review to full stars.

Home base for visiting grandkids

Room was clean and updated decor since our previous stay. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Loved being able to use the bikes to get between the hotel and our daughter’s house when needed. One night we returned to the lobby to be greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies! Breakfast was nice, and it’s great that you have games and a charging station for guests to use. Didn’t use the indoor pool or hot tub this trip but we have previously and loved it.

A clean, good sized room in a lovely hotel. Breakfast was better than expected with a lot of choices. I will stay here again next time I am in Sun Valley. Many dining options within walking distance.

The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything going on in the rooms next-door. We happened to have a group of guys having a party who were yelling loudly and swearing. Not the atmosphere we wanted. Fortunately, we were able to move to a different room with unoccupied rooms on either side. Also, the shower design was odd and the curtain extended beyond the enclosure and floods the bathroom floor every time you use it. Staff were helpful and friendly.

All good, only one suggestion about breakfast

This is the third time we have stayed at the Wood River Inn and Suites. It’s in a great location and it’s quiet. The hot tub is very nice. The only recommendation I would give since the breakfast is served cafeteria style is to take down the sign at the start of the line that says “only one trip through, please”. Sometimes I don’t know exactly what I’m going to want to eat and so this sign made me feel like I need to stock up and it would be frowned upon to go back and get a little something extra like maybe some more pico de gallo.
