The property was exactly what we were looking for: private lake (pond only by name) house and it did not disappoint. The property is very well maintained nestled among the trees with a beautiful deck, lower seating area if you want out of the sun, fire pit and private dock to launch kayaks, float on the tubes or go for a dip. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels and there was no shortage of hummingbirds (Be sure to refill with the provided food on the shelf) The sunrise was AMAZING from the dock. The interior of the home is as perfect as the photos. They certainly do not do it justice and we were thrilled with the stocking of kitchen, bath and laundry items. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook any meals, including a top notch coffee bar, plenty of spices, cleaning supplies and even a dozen of farm fresh eggs. A beautiful propane grill and tools provided as well. The bathrooms had all of the towels, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, plus hand soaps and were very clean. The laundry room had all supplies provided to do wash, beach towels and life jackets in a variety of sizes to enjoy the lake (be sure to venture out to the island for a little exploring via kayaks). In addition to the pool table there is a great assortment of board games, a quiet road to go for a walk, deck loungers to enjoy the morning with a book and even fishing rods to hit the deck. Acadia/Bar Harbor just an hour drive, don't miss out on Dunbar's deli & Ironbound Restaurant locally!

This is was our first trip to Maine, so choosing a suitable place is very chancy. Based on the photos and the location to our areas of interests we choose this lake property. We arrived late on our first day, so we only appreciated the condition of the home inside. Besides the weather being incredible, the inside was extremely homey and cozy for our feels. The home was extremely packed with all of the things we would need, plus offered extreme comfort and space for our group of 9.Once the sun came up on the lake...WOW!!!! The sunlight opened up our eyes to the pure beauty of the property. Normally we aren't lake people, but this property changed my opinion. The dock was awesome, the kayaks were something we absolutely enjoyed regularly. We literally altered our plans to spend more time enjoying the property.The host was "on it" when it comes to communication. He was open to suggestions and feedback during our stay. We did mention the toilet paper quality, which was resolved the next morning with the good stuff. He was spectacular when it comes to communication and being understanding. I believe good communication helps everyone, and this was the case at this home. We would absolutely love the opportunity to return in the future to this home. Our time in Maine has propelled my entire family, and their families to move to Maine!!! Thank you so much for such an ideal experience in Maine, this home was AWESOME!

What a wonderful week our family had in your lovely home! It has the perfect layout for our extended family of seven. The teens loved being able to have their own space on the lower level and the pool table was a big bonus! Communication with the hosts was outstanding from pre-arrival to post departure. They are very accommodating and really care about the guest experience. The home was clean, better than the property description, and iin a great location to strike the right balance between sightseeing and relazing. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and implements for cooking and baking. We made Maine blueberry pancakes, waffles, and mini loafs, We wanted for nothing during our stay - kayaks, PFDs, chairs for the fire ring, roasting forks for making s'mores...it was all there! We are sad we didn't get to use the steamer pot for lobsters!! Maybe next time. We loved watching the hummingbirds out on the deck. They put on a daily show. I really can't say enough about what a wonderful and peaceful spot this is. A note to future guests - don't forget to look up at the amazing night sky during your stay. There were a million stars and the Milkyway was on full display in the dark night sky.
