"The hotel is very pretty from the interior courtyard. It offers beautiful views when you are out on the sitting area of which there are several. However, the rooms are not very comfortable. Stuffy, no fan and certainly no heat or air-conditioning. You have to open a window which lets in mosquitoes if you are hot. Also, the decor in the room is something straight out of the 1800s but not in a nice way, rather spooky. However, the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant and the location is excellent. Price is very good as it should be for a hotel that is very basic. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in the city that is any more plush for lack of better words so you might as well stay here."

"Beautiful property and excellent location near Sucre’s main plaza. However, the rooftop restaurant had very limited food and drink options at 9:30 p.m. and told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, so we had to go elsewhere. When we returned around midnight, we were let in, but had to find our room without escort, in complete darkness because the hallways had no lights at all. Fortunately, I had my phone flashlight."
