Staff were amazing. Particularly a lovely member of staff called Emily, she welcomed us with a smile. Nothing was a problem for her to . We Travelled with my disabled nephew. Emily was extremely helpful and kind. The room we booked wasn't suitable, as a result she found an amazing room suitable for his needs. She acted on all concerns we had within minutes. The food in the resturant is tastey extremely, including friendly staff. We also enjoined breakfast and dinner.
Great hotel, good rooms, well located, but expected a better breakfast .
The Swans Nest is within walking distance to heart of the City. The hotel has its own parking lot, which is rare, but was full on a Friday night, so resort to nearby street parking. We started out with a nice room on ground floor, but fronted the busy street, so we were moved to a room on second floor facing the courtyard. Unfortunately, the second (top) floor rooms get the heat gain from the hot summer sun and there is no AC, just a portable fan. While the room windows could be opened, flies, bees and bugs would come in, so we just left a crack which was not sufficient to bring in the cool night air. Should have stayed on first floor. Both rooms we had were nice and well kept. Beds were higher end with fluffy down pillows. Bathrooms were newer, clean and spacious. Rooms had bath robes and guest slippers. The included breakfast were great as we could order the hot breakfast besides the array of pastry, cold cuts, fruits, cereal and juices. Breakfast and hotel staff were friendly. We did not check the wi-fi. The common areas were older, but did not bother us as exude some of the old world charm.
