We stayed here for 7 nights for a holiday visiting Christmas markets in the Alsace and Strasbourg. The room was ok for us - just needed more hanging and storage space for clothing. Also the sofa in the room was dirty and in need of a deep clean so we did not use it.
The location of the hotel is good for access to the Alsace towns and Colmar. There is also a tram stop about 25 mins walk from the hotel which goes to the city centre.
The problems we had were with the coach groups staying at the hotel. The hotel seems to cater for these at the detriment of independent guests. The first two nights of our stay were disrupted by a large group of loud teenagers with little supervision from the adults with them. Sitting in the bar in the evening was not a good experience due this group, they also woke us during the night and we were unable to get into breakfast because of them. They took no notice of requests from the hotel staff to behave and be quiet, numerous other guests complained as well as us but a resolution was not met. When this group left other coach parties arrived, they were not as disruptive but did take up all seats in breakfast area so again we had to miss breakfast. We were also woken by a guest's dog barking during one night.
There are not enough staff in the evenings - one doing check in, serving drinks, microwaving food etc.
Positioning of pool table and football table in reception not good, make it look like a youth club, noisy and block access.
