This is 3rd visit to hotel, staff excellent a mix of young and old that makes a profound difference from other hotels i have visited that tend to have to many young people that lack the experience.

I had specifically booked a room that catered for my disabled husband with additional mobility issues. As the lift was broken & he couldn't use the stairs, we were given what they said was the only alternative room. It had a fixed shower over a bath, both of which he couldn't use for health & safety reasons. It was suggested he use the Gents' Changing Rooms for the pool!!!! As a male only facility I wouldn't be able to supervise or assist him .... totally unacceptable. We've stayed here several times as it is convenient for the ferries & the beds are comfortable and the breakfast excellent, however, we will look for somewhere different in the future. A phone call earlier in the day would have given us the opportunity to look for alternative accommodation. Totally disregarded my husband's needs.

Delightful hotel. Very clean and wonderful staff. It's not the most modern decor but that's part of the charm. It has an honest vintage interior but it's been well maintained. The swimming pool, spa pool and sauna were great and very quiet. The games room was a lot of fun. We were really impressed and would visit again.

The room was a good size and we were lucky to be facing the loch. Looked to be have been updated recently. All the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant. I would suggest you have a look at the water pressure for the showers though. I'd look to stay again if I was heading to Stranraer

Only stayed for one night, unfortunately arrived too late to make use of any of the facilities , but the room was lovely and warm and we had a well needed sleep before continuing our journeys the following day. Unfortunately too early to experience the breakfasts

Travelling down to get the early ferry with our dog. Great value for money, dog friendly and easy to get to ferry for Belfast. Decor, etc is bit old fashioned but wasn’t an issue. Great option for the early ferry. .
