The island house is a beautiful old hotel on an absolutely fabulous piece of property with beautiful grounds. It has a lot of character that you would expect from 100 year-old Building in a great location super walkable to the downtown area. And the dinner restaurant there was fantastic.

Overall great place to stay on Mackinac Island. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom was clean and adequate. Our bedroom door opened hard … which just was difficult if your hands were full. The air conditioner is a window type unit in the wall. It worked fine, it was in the 70s when we were there. I question if it would have been adequate if it were warmer

Excellent location easy walk to everything. Hotel is beautiful and updated with lots of history excellent restaurant 1852 for breakfast, lunch or dinner and happy hour at the bar with with food specials. Icehouse next-door had great barbecue specials in nice backyard with lounge by the pool All servers and bartenders were excellent.

Comfortable and clean.

Nice stay, unfortunately the hot tub was broken, something that I discovered after I walked the entire perimeter of the island. Otherwise I was very satisfied with the accommodations and the proximity to the "downtown." Would stay again.
