Our room was very small which would not have been an issue except it was very warm and stuffy and the air conditioner did not cool it at all. We opened the window in attempt to cool it down but the traffic was too loud for us to sleep. Uncomfortable and sleepless night! Also we were on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. Difficult lugging a large suitcase up the stairs. Breakfast was very limited. We left and bought breakfast at a nearby gas station.

Limited selection for breakfast. Ground floor area ok but the rooms are in need of refurbishment. Room 206 is next to the kitchen fan that runs all night - avoid. Bathroom fan sounds like a jet engine so we didn’t use it. Why not replace the doors so they fit and upgrade locks to keyless.

The pool was drained before the holiday weekend. There was not bon fire as advertised and restaurant/bar not open Monday-Thursday. The lobby was very cozy and the staff was accommodating.

Horrible place to stay if you want to get rest, take a shower or walk on floors that are flat. Live music at the bar that they dont disclose on their website with bass vibrating the bed and walls on the third floor. Shower too small to change your mind in. Floors so crooked that you feel like you have vertigo. Breakfast was not good, very minimal and got cold sitting out. No elevators so heavy luggage is rough to carry to top floor. Full disclosure they gave me half back on our room the second night bc of the noise. Never again, way way overpriced.

LOVED the location, easy walk to downtown Stowe where all the shops and restaurants are. My complaint is that it’s dog friendly in select rooms and the walls are THIN. You can hear everything. The large dog in the room across from me barked all night and I complained. Live music until 9pm so don’t plan on any quiet until late night. Other than that, it is reallly cute.

Stayed in a room that was probably the worst I have stayed in the states. The bathroom was exceptionally small shower was about 40” square the total bathroom was very very small no place for toiletries to sit at all. No closet in the room. I would never ever recommend that place to anyone.

Unique place to stay - it was GREAT!

We had a great time at Field Guide Lodge. The room was clean, the common area had so many little spots to gather and hang out. They have a nice shuffle board table and we played and had a lot of fun. This is the FIRST hotel I ever decided to use the shampoo and conditioner that they had versus what I brought with me. They use Lather brand which is a great clean brand. I am now going to order to have at home. Loved the shampoo and conditioner. It is unique, very welcoming, and the bed was super comfortable. Totally would stay here again and highly recommend.

The rooms are not properly maintained. There’s grout missing in the bathroom and poor cleaning/maintenance of the rooms. The rug in the room was so dirty. I had to ask for daily housekeeping and they still didn’t come every day. For the high price, stay somewhere else.

Great location , walkable into Stowe with plenty of restaurants nearby . Great room with seperate lounge and a very large bathroom . Breakfast was OK . One disappointment was that the bar area was not open during our stay only seems to be available over the weekend , a shame for your guests staying outside this time - maybe an honesty bar would be a good idea ?
