Beautiful building and unique location. Comfortable room and wonderful dining experience! Staff a little inexperienced but very helpful and friendly. Poor communication between restaurant and hotel had us very nearly not being charged for dinner. You shouldn’t have to rely on the honesty of your guests! Otherwise faultless.

A disappointing stay

Bandholm hotel seems to cater mainly for couples on romantic get aways or elderly people celebrating so travelling as friends you might feel a bit out of place! Also, be aware that the spa area is located in a separate building a bit up the road and that very few rooms feature a view to the small industrial port. The view from the breakfast area is mainly the parking lot and some huge white tents that seemed more like a permanent structure since they were still up in October. The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing and with a wide range of options presented in a delicious way. We were in a lux room that seemed a bit too heavily furnished to say the least. Two huge armchairs took up all floor space so it felt cramped but the bed was comfortable. The dinner menu in the restaurant seems to cater mainly for gourmet meals and a simple veggie dish is not an option. There are plenty other much better options if you are not in for the full three course eating but all requires a car to get to.

Really nice hotel, first night stay in annex building which was clean, well equiped and very well furnished, with heated bathroom floor nice touch. Not a lot in surrounding area for business trips.

Hidden Gem

Lovely hotel ideally situated for Maribo and travel to ferry at Rogby. Very friendly staff, room was in annex building which was exceptionally clean, spacious and large modern rooms. Free breakfast, with good choice of well presented & good quality hot & cold food included in room rate which rounded off an excellent stay.

elegant in a town without much going on

we enjoyed staying at the Bandholm but were a little disappointed that our room (which was very nice) was not in the main building...the breakfast was excellent...we generally do not eat in hotel restaurants because the atmosphere is usually too stuffy...there are no other restaurants in Bandholm but we found an excellent one in Sakskobing...

Very nice hotel!

Bandholm hotel is a very nice hotel with fantastic staff! We arrived late and my wife had a cast and was walking with crutches. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and our room was on the second floor. The concierge immediately upgraded us to a suite on the first floor as everything else was sold out. Beautiful room and great bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful with a very large selection. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel

We stopped off at Bandholm on our way from Hamburg to Copenhagen and found an oasis of calm in this fabulous hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was absolutely beautiful with a small balcony overlooking the gardens. We ate at the hotel as there are no other restaurants in the village and we weren't disappointed. We sat overlooking the sea and had a nice meal watching the sun go down. The peace and quiet ensured a good nights sleep before our onwards journey. My only regret is that we didn't stay a day or so longer!

Nice surprise.

This is a very charming hotel to relax in style ! We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful hotel and location. The breakfast was exceptional . We randomly selected the hotel off of hotels.com as part of our drive to Copenhagen. We will return.
