We chose the Cimarron because of the quality, cleanliness and service the property is known for. Friday before check in, a family we're with received a call their room needed to be changed due to flooding. They were offered 2 king rooms, they declined because they're traveling with kids, so they stayed in the President's Suite. At no point was I contacted that there was an issue, so I assumed our room was not affected. Upon checking in, Brandon (manager) told me of the flooding, that no rooms were available, so my family was moved to another hotel in town. The Cimarron would refund my Expedia purchase and cover the cost of our stay at the other property.  I was really taken back by this, because it not only does the lack of contact not live up to the service we expected from the Cimarron, but also because I knew there were at least two (2) king rooms available not even an hour earlier that our family members declined. I asked about this and was told because I was not a rewards member and booked through Expedia, my reservation was not a priority and was moved to the bottom of the list. First room they had me check in on the 4th floor smelled like urine. Got a replacement room in the 3rd floor. Nice big rooms. Good breakfast. Good coffee. Nice place. Not great. Staff was not very helpful. Yellow light blinked on my phone and the staff didn’t know how to turn it off. Staff girl locked me out of room at 11:05am even though she approved me for late 12:00 check out. Ignorant lazy staff? Frozen berries at breakfast weren’t thawed out properly.

It started with our reservation. The reservation I booked online was not honored at the hotel. We had five people in a room with one bed. The blinds in the room would not close. So no privacy in the room. The microwave quit working, and the volume on the TV was very intermittent. The front desk was not helpful at all. We will never stay here again.

The room was very spacious and there was a good variety at breakfast. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was nice with great water pressure and almost instant hot water. My only complaint about the shower is that it is extremely difficult to shave legs when there is no shelf/ledge/seat, etc. Another small complaint is that the air conditioner was extremely noisy when it cycled on and off. And the last minor complaint is that the refrigerator did not appear to have been cleaned because of a brown, sticky substance on the bottom of it. Those are nit-picky things, but overall, I would definitely stay there again. It is in a great location to walk to OSU sporting events.

This was my second stay with this location. The ice machine on our floor wasn’t working, but service desk helped us get some ice at the lobby. I made sure to get the same room as my last stay, I enjoy the quietness from hallway. Definitely plan to come back during the Special Olympics visit again. This location is the best from the campus activities.

Do not book here it is not worth the price. The amenities that I paid extra for were not as promised I found multiple bugs, including several bedbugs in my bed. And maybe I’m being picky, but there was only one place to charge your phone by the bed and you had to have a charger block which I did not bring with me. The ice machine on my floor did not work not worth it. I ended up seeing worse than when I got there.

The evening gal was not friendly at all. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for her and it was an inconvenience when she checked us in. She also had a couple people just hanging around. Opposite for the morning staff they were great. Our room needed some TLC. Shower door would not close, carpet squares coming up and some were not attached. Breakfast was decent. Location was good.

Breakfast menu was good, staff excellent! Had a lot of issues with our room keys, they had to be reprogrammed 4-5 times! One of our rooms the door wouldn’t lock so we had to move to another room. They only had one ice machine that worked so pretty inconvenient to go two floors down for ice. The air conditioner in our room was very temperamental and would shutoff and not restart! Staff was very pleasant to work with though! None of these issues ruined our stay but will probably choose a different hotel next Stillwater visit!

My room's AC was not working, which was known by maintenance and staff, and it was still listed as open and available. I was given a giant, loud industrial blower fan to offset the heat, which did not help. We had to sleep with the windows open at night to cool off, which had NO screen on it, by the way. The sure-loc hardware installed on the door to our room was barely hanging on by the screws. I have yet to hear from a manager about my experience. I've left my contact information twice, waiting to hear back.
