"The bed was comfortable, and most things in the bathroom functioned fairly well. I asked for a 2nd-floor room because those rooms are often lightly used and unoccupied. Not @ this motel: there were several rooms occupied, and the occupants were not very quiet. The faucet in the bathroom provided NO water. Most maddening was the electronic room key: it took an average of 30 seconds to use it to open the door. NO procedure that I could come up with worked 2 consecutive times. Surely someone can invent a more convenient way to open a motel room door!!! The room was also woefully short of convenient a/c outlets for charging smartphones, PC's, etc. Super 8's are usually a cut above "lower-level" motels, but my room in this one certainly was not. Incredibly, it cost -- to the dollar -- almost exactly the same as my previous night's room in a Days Inn in Roanoke, VA -- but the Days Inn was many times better! Hopefully, I just was unfortunately enough to have gotten the motel's "bad room.""
