The reviews we saw had this hotel rated highly, but that seems to be very generous. This is an old property with the most basic accommodations - nothing extra, not even toiletries. Thank goodness we only stayed one night. Would not do it again.

It’s a $70 room. So with that, you’d expect some shortcomings. I’ll start with the bathroom, despite having a “sanitized” little band over the toilet, there was urine and toilet paper that had been in there for quite some time. The rest of the place smelled of mildew. The wifi was super slow, I just ended up using my phone as a hot spot. I could feel the metal springs of the mattress. The turntable in the microwave didn’t work.

Our room was clean but it could use with a little updating.Coffee makers in the rooms would be a nice addition. Maybe some options for restaurants in the area. Downside no continental breakfast but they did have coffee and tea in the lobby. We had an adjoining room and our neighbors found it necessary to be rather loud at 5 am. Maybe reminders in rooms to please be considerate of other guests would help that. Overall the staff was friendly I loved how they had the lobby decorated for Halloween.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Lobby was decorative and the morning coffee was great! Maintenance is definitely needed on the doors! At the very least you don’t need gaps wide enough to let bugs, rodents, or reptiles in.

I felt safe. The room was very sparsely furnished, but it had a bed and a bathroom. Also, a microwave and small fridge, so all my needs were met. Not special but perfectly adequate.

Check-in was quick and efficient. The room seemed clean, but was missing basic amenities such as hand soap. There was a dehumidifying bag hanging in the room, to which we didn't give much thought. However, upon inspection of the bed, it was covered in mold. The front desk staff apologized and promptly moved us to a different room which interestingly had the expected amenities.
