Glaucomy's Suite is a charming, two-story woodland cabin nestled amidst a picturesque hillside, offering a cozy and eclectic retreat. This idyllic cabin provides all the modern comforts and amenities of a larger home while maintaining the intimate appeal of a smaller space.

The main floor boasts a warm and inviting living room, a stylish washroom, and a well-appointed kitchen. Two large windowed doors lead out onto a deck surrounded by majestic trees, creating a serene atmosphere. Indulge in relaxation in the beautifully tiled washroom, featuring a shower fit for royalty.

The kitchenette exudes a vintage charm with a 2 burner hot plate, toaster oven , sink, and mini refrigerator. The gas stove is for decorative purposes only.

Additional amenities such as air conditioning, a fire pit, and convenient road access enhance the overall experience.

Upstairs, a cozy loft bedroom awaits, furnished with a comfortable full-sized bed and a fold-out couch. Soft, natural light filters through the windows, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding canopy of trees.

Glaucomy's Suite is conveniently situated just off of Nada Tunnel Road, mere minutes away from major trailheads and world-class climbing spots. Its prime location grants easy access to the breathtaking hikes and exhilarating climbs found in the renowned Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park.

Please note that this cabin is at the end of a 3/4 mile, bumpy, sometimes muddy, gravel road.  Small two-wheeled vehicles can make it to the cabin, but four wheel drives have an easier time.  There is also a lovely 1/2 mile walking trail that connects from our main office parking lot to the cabin.  Many guests enjoy leaving their car, and the modern world, behind them and choose to fully hike to the cabin.

Staying in a Red River Gorgeous Cabin is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.  Since all of our hand-built cabins are unique, we wish to inform you of their individual features so you can come prepared to enjoy your stay to the fullest.

Full Bathroom:  featuring castle style tile shower, flush toilet, hand sink, towel hooks, bath exhaust fan, air conditioning, heating and more!

Compact Kitchen:  featuring a 2 burner stove, toaster oven, half-size fridge, cookware, eating utensils, dish rack, kitchen sink, island with cutting board, heat and air conditioning and ample lighting.  Interior seating in the kitchen is limited.

Living Room:  features a couch downstairs that looks out onto the deck which has relaxing seating for 2-4 people and overlooks the wooded hillside.

Upstairs Bedroom:  featuring heat and air conditioning with a full bed and a youth sized (twin) fold out mattress (sleeps 3 total adults, or 2 adults 2 children).

Utilities:  Full electricity, plumbing, heat, air conditioning and flush toilet

Other Details:  Amazing all-natural location, Ample parking for 2 cars, Easy access to exceptional hiking trails and climbing areas, including several within walking distance.

We are happy to host pets at Glaucomy's Suite and ask for an additional $50 (plus tax) non-refundable pet cleaning fee for the first pet.  Any additional pets are $25 (plus tax).

Linens are always provided for this cabin.  We will provide pillows, blankets, bedsheets and bath towels.  We will also provide kitchen towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap.

Firewood is also available upon request.  For $25 we will deliver firewood to your fire pit.  Please be sure to mark on your reservation if you would like firewood delivery.  Please be sure to put out all fires COMPLETELY when you are finished.

We limit chemicals to protect the ecosystem, so you may see bugs, spiders, or frogs. It’s part of the forest experience—thanks for respecting the wild.

We do not offer refunds or rescheduling due to snow, ice, or rain unless a state of emergency is declared. We may offer alternate parking or help shuttle your group when possible. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

After booking, you'll receive detailed directions and arrival tips. Many cabins are in rugged, natural terrain—4WD/AWD is strongly recommended, especially in winter or rain.
