Adequate but lacking

The room was adequate, but it could be improved. The rooms themselves were clean and there were no real problems there, except that it seemed a bit musty when we first got there. Fortunately, the weather was cool enough that we could run the heat and that dealt with the mustiness. The property itself needs some work - the yard had discarded tools and general junk. As for amenities, you need more cups and glasses. If you're going to provide a coffee maker, you should have a supply of coffee filters, along with a supply of sweeteners. And you need more and better towels. The bed was far too soft. And there was an exterior light under the porch that shined directly at the bedroom window - even with the shade down it kept the room from getting dark. We had no extra trash bags - fortunately we were only there a week and only filled the one. And the room decor was not very appropriate - a Marilyn Monroe picture in the bedroom and a semi-abstract nude in the living room. All in all, it was adequate, but we would not stay here again.

Clean and bare bones

A nice clean property, but pretty barebones as far as amenities. The fireplace wasn’t available and they didn’t supply things like hand towels in the bathroom or a hair dryer. The people above us were staying for a time while their place was being renovated, and that seems like a good fit as you could bring some of your own stuff and stay in a clean and spacious spot, central to lots of things.
