Absolutely breathtaking! Booking this place was a fantastic decision. The cottage is splendid and offers an unparalleled view. Our goal was to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Iceland, and this spot did not disappoint. The surroundings make you feel like you're in a nature lover's paradise. Highly recommended!
Beautiful, remote spot, near the fork in the main road over the center of the peninsula that goes around the west end. Ten minutes from Budir, Arnastappi and Helnnar. Have lunch at Samkomuhusid Arnarstapa - super cute spot. Enjoyed clear skies and incredible northern lights on both nights. Place is cozy and clean. Great spot to enjoy the surrounding views of the glacier, the mountains, and the sea.
Beautiful cottage! Clean. Everything you need for cooking is provided and more. We fell in love with this place but unfortunately we were on a tight schedule driving the rim road so we couldn't stay as long as we wished. We stayed at 10 different accommodations on the ring road travel and this was the best. The only thing I was nervous about was I didn't check until the day that we were going to stay at the property where there was a note in the paperwork after making the reservation that you needed to contact the property 72 hours, I believe in advance to get a code or key box information to get in. We panicked when we could not get a hold of anyone when we were traveling on the day we were checking in but someone had left the door open and the key on the table for us. We breathed a sigh of relief thinking we would not be able to get in.
I love the location of this cottage! All four beds were comfortable I can't say enough nice things about this place I wish we'd have stayed more days there It was a wonderful place to come to after a long day of sightseeing and trail walking The kitchen was great with everything you needed had a little trouble understanding how to use the washer and dryer because of the language barrier but that was nice to have too.
Without any doubt, this location was the highlight of our 8 day trip to Iceland.
We only stayed for two nights. And that was all we really needed. Ireland's tourist destinations are very spread apart and the three days we had in the area was more than enough for our roadtrip.
The cottage was very clean and well appointed. There was nothing more you would need other than personal items you should bring for yourselves.
The kitchen is stocked adequately with tools, utensils and porcelain ware. If you plan to cook, which you should since there isn't much in the way of restaurant options. And for what there is, the hours of operation did not work for us. We shopped at the grocery stores along our touring route (roughly 30 min away)
Fuel is not available in the area. Plan accordingly. We had two experience in which we were not able to purchase fuel on our way to the airport.
This cottage was a beautiful reprieve from the hotels along our journey. Highly recommended.
Comfortable beds and cute decor. Owners are very responsive. It’s a great location to view the Northern Lights. Downside is only 1 toilet (we had 6 people) and the remote location makes finding a restaurant for dinner a bit challenging. It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed outside of Reykjavik.
A beautiful spacious cottage to enjoy the quiet and spectacular scenery in this area. Laundry facilities were much appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The cottage is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains and sea --- and the horses in the field. Beautiful interior that was perfect for two couples. Great communication from our host. Loved the thoughtful extra touch of farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator. Could not have asked for more.

Amazing Cottage
I highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is considering staying here.
Very clean, comfortable, cozy. Ample space. Great communication from owner. Owner left farm fresh eggs in the fridge for us which was very thoughtful. Loved the wildlife.
Exquisitely decorated, clean and comfortable space in an idyllic setting on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. It is quite remote, but that’s how we like it. Would stay here again and for longer next time.
The cottage is in a beautiful setting with mountain and seaside views. The hosts went above and beyond to make a wonderful stay. Unexpectedly we were snowed in for a day so the hosts really stepped in to help. Being from the southern part of the USA we didn’t know how to handle such weather. They were accommodating and provided front door service for our supper (they didn’t want us to drive in such weather).

Tolles Cottage
Liebevoll eingerichtetes Cottage, gut ausgestattete Küche! Sehr empfehlenswert!
