PRO: We were allowed an early check-in--which was important because our cruise had ended and we had to use an Uber service. Judy was wonderful and helpful at check-in and also with walking directions to dining. The bed was comfortable. (5 stars) CON: This hotel is older, and while it looked like they had attempted to update it, I was less than impressed and did not feel this was Holiday Inn quality. We had to go to the front desk and ask if they could replace the computer chair, which was so worn out, it leaned and had no padding. The replacement was only minimally better. The room had debris that had fallen from the ceiling on the computer table and the credenza where the TV sat. (3 stars) While the room had been cleaned, the chemical smell was overpowering and lingered. The bathroom was very outdated. The mirror had a frame with what looked like contact paper covering it--and poorly at that. I picked this location, and the side of the highway due to the food locations, and that they offered a shuttle service to the airport. What we discovered was that it is very limited, and we had to leave at 10:30 and spend 3 hours at the airport to be able to use that service--another couple was going to be waiting at the airport for nearly 6 hours. That is unacceptable. If you are offering a free airport shuttle, it needs to be more user-friendly. (2 stars) I would not stay here again--nor recommend it to others.

Wanted to give a shout out to Lyric. We arrived from our cruise ship and were very early for check-in. I asked if an early check-in was possible. She was able to get us in right away which was nice since we had no place to go as our flight wasn't until the next morning. The afternoon clerk ( I think Pam?) was very friendly and helpful. The next morning, I slipped and fell on water someone had spilled on the tile floor. I advised him he may want to have it mopped up. He was so apologetic and more than willing to help me with ice, Advil or whatever I needed. Very impressed with the customer service interaction I had with these three employees. Very clean premises. We left too early to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. I was also impressed with the two large ice water containers and cups for guests in the lobby. Keep it up!

This was the first Holiday Inn Express that did not provide complimentary breakfast which was disappointing. Also- the room was not as fresh and clean. One room was musty, and the other held a slight urine smell. The rooms were outdated.

Had an issues with my key card and door, had to insert it like 8-10 times for it to open. And the breakfast prices are extremely too high, I just went to Cracker Barrel and got more for less. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay. And I will be back.
