Our room was extremely small and appeared as though it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. The entire space felt very worn and in need of a major upgrade. There was visible mold in the shower, the walls were dirty, and the furniture was dented, dusty, and stained. The dresser and other pieces looked old and poorly maintained. Everything felt outdated and not well kept. I honestly dreaded having to shower. The entire hotel seems overdue for a full renovation. It felt old, dusty, and neglected throughout. Our room was also very hot and the air conditioning was not turned on. When I called the front desk, I was told the air had not yet been activated. They did bring us a fan, which we appreciated, but it was uncomfortable. The elevators were extremely small and one of the three was out of service. This caused long waits both going up to our room and coming back down to the lobby. Additionally, there were no options to purchase snacks or bottled water. There is no small shop or convenience area within the hotel, which was inconvenient. Overall, the property did not feel clean or well maintained, and it did not meet expectations.

The Magnolia is a beautiful hotel. The visual imbue a feeling of luxury. Enjoyment is in the details however and in our room these were lacking. Our mattress was saggy and the sheets were not laid properly so that we slept next to the comforter. How many people have slept on that comforter? Yuck.

Staff was kind. Our room was not great. We felt like we were in a closet. All of our other family members had decent size rooms. Our had the refrigerator onthe floor, there’s had a table/bar. The dresser was about 10-12” deep. Only socks could go in it. No body wash, the toilet ran all day and night. Maintenance did come and fix it. The room was so hot, we turned the ac on to find out it did not work. No cookies at 8pm.

Everything was great, except the rooms are without microwave. I went to the 8th floor and a homeless man was using the microwave. Not safe to go alone. The issue is not he was homeless, it was that security was not with him
