Embassy Suites St. Charles: Where Parents Get a Door and Kids Get Waffles
If you’re traveling with three kids, you already know—the hotel room situation can make or break your sanity. When we rolled into the Embassy Suites in St. Charles, Missouri, we were crossing our fingers for “space and quiet” and bracing for “sardine can with a TV.”
Spoiler alert: We got the good kind.
The Room
Two. Separate. Rooms.
Let me repeat that—our kids had the pull-out sofa in the living room, and my spouse and I had an actual bedroom with a door that closes. This is basically a five-star luxury in parent world. There’s also a little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and sink, perfect for storing juice boxes and heating up the chicken nuggets your kids swore they’d eat at dinner but didn’t.
Breakfast & Happy Hour (Yes, Please)
The free, made-to-order breakfast was a highlight. Fresh omelets, waffles (with enough toppings to make a dentist cringe), pastries, fruit—you name it. We learned pretty quickly to get there early if we wanted to avoid the “half the convention center is here” crowd, but even during rush hour, the staff kept things moving.
In the evenings, the complimentary reception was our little parenting victory lap—snacks for the kids, a grown-up drink for us, and a moment to sit down before someone spilled something.
