Wonderful weekend

The standard room was very roomy, HUGE shower, wonderful amenities. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were even better. This was definitely a best bang for your buck stay! We will be back

Very nice hotel. Interesting shower. You can set the temperature of the water, push a button and 30 seconds later, it tells you you're shower is ready. The first morning, I couldn't get the water to turn on. Apparently the shower is connected to the internet and the internet had to be reset. Shower worked fine the next two mornings. Excellent breakfast buffet!

Do not skip the breakfast!

Amazing value for the price. Very clean and comfortable. Best complimentary breakfast of anywhere we’ve been. Only paid extra $6 to park Thursday night, weekend is free. Highly recommend!

The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms have amazing shower settings. The bathroom is stocked with fresh white linens. The swimming pool is still open. The morning breakfast is awesome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Clayton Plaza Hotel was a very nice hotel. Our stay was for my daughter’s birthday and she loved it. The indoor and outdoor pool were a hit! The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Nice hotel but had a few issues

Nice hotel except we had a couple of issues. The mini fridge leaked water into the floor, the air conditioner was not cooling properly and every pillow has a security tag on the corner which is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also I didn’t like that I had to pay for parking $10 a day on top of my hotel cost.

Great area…but

Bed had what looked like to be ashes on the comforter. Online it says there is a $50 hold on cc for damages, etc., and it’s actually $100. No biggie, but they should fix that. The power went out 3 times Saturday night, malfunctioned the shower, so everyone in the hotel that night couldn’t shower the next morning. The pool area could’ve been cleaner. Pool was dirty. Ceiling was in repair. Paint chips on the floor.

Not great- showers broke hotel wide

Property was clean, however the shower did not work Sunday morning. Apparently there was a power surge and the staff was not able to fix it. No one’s showers worked in the hotel. The whole reason we stayed overnight was to shower the next morning before heading out for our day. In the humidity it is awful to not get a shower in before starting the day. Frankly it was unacceptable and we should not have charged for the night. Staff was unapologetic.

A power outage prevented me from showering one morning, as the shower is electronically-controlled. Also, the out-of-service soda machine was an inconvenience. But overall, the hotel is an overall luxury for a budget traveler like me, a very nice old-school establishment in a pleasant neighborhood. A good value.

I thought the breakfasts and parking were wonderful pluses. The hotel’s location was very convenient for us to get to the art museum, parks, etc. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was ok for the price

It cheap. I didn’t like the location, a bit too far from evrything. The restaurants nearby were mid. The customer service of the personal were very ok. The guy who checked us in was unprofesional. The room was very comfortable though. I wouldn’t stay here again though for the location.
