Room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view off the balcony. Property was well maintained. Staff was friendly and attentive and took the time to answer our questions about the area. Breakfast was adequate, well stocked, and great coffee. Great experience for low price!

We chose the Fairbanks Inn, because it is close to the St Johnsbury Park & Ride, where the bike shuttle for the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail stops. The Inn is a couple miles from downtown St Johnsbury. The room was clean and had a small refrigerator. The air conditioner worked well. Everything was comfortable. The breakfast was just OK. It's a good value for hotels in St Johnsbury.

Place is pretty dirty and run down. The sheets were stained and hairs in the sheets. The staff seemed like they were miserable. At least we didn’t get bed bugs was a plus after reading the reviews.

The room was spacious and very clean ! Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having a balcony. We also LOVED the pool ! It was such a nice place to relax. Great location (10minutes walking distance to the city center). Staff was also very nice and accommodating. Only reason why I did not give a 5 stars overall is because the free breakfast was below average. But would 100% come back !

This Inn was a quiet, and convenient stay. The room was rather large and had a great view of the Vermont hills. The young man working the front desk and breakfast room the next morning was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather sparse, but we were able to get some coffee and toast before heading out.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was clean. It did however, have a strong stale/ musty smell. It had a nice balcony. Unfortunately, the noise from the upstairs balcony door carried through too well. It was noisy at 6 AM when they upstairs people opened their door more than once. There was a nice small breakfast available. Staff walked into the room to clean it before we had checked out. They were apologetic but need a system to prevent that in the future.

When we pulled up, many sketchy persons siting outside smoking cigarettes. Room smelled like smoke whole night we were there even though we tried to air it out. Carpet was wet! We tried putting on socks walking around but they got wet as well. Pool was good though. Clean and resfreshing. Wouldn't go back again. We went into town for breakfast since selection was limited.
