Fall asleep to the sound of waves, wake up to ocean views, and the ferry crossing Turner Bay. We pick you up at the dock when you arrive. Beach chairs, a cooler, and beach towels are ready for your days in the sun. You start and end your trip with a vacation-ready villa.
The screened porch is where you'll spend most of your time; trade winds coming through, dining table for two, a sofa to sink into while watching the ferry cross Turner Bay below. Four large doors connect the living room to a sun room that faces the ocean, so the view follows you inside. Tall ceilings and southern exposure flood the unit with light. Close the folding doors and hardwood shutters when you want privacy.
One queen bedroom with a picture window framing a bougainvillea tree, distant hills, and open sky. A living room with a queen sleep sofa. Both sleeping areas have separate private access to the full tiled bath. A fully equipped kitchen with a small bar and stools. Small complex that stays quiet.
Conch Villas was built in 1986 using rare Brazilian hardwoods, IPE and Jatoba sourced from the Para province near the Amazon Delta. The walls, siding, and shutters were prefabricated in Belem with hardware of Brazilian design. Materials so dense they are used as flooring in Brazil. No other property in Cruz Bay has this.
Five units in the complex. You will not share the grounds with a crowd.
An 8-hour battery backup system handles the rolling outages that occasionally rotate across the island. You won't notice them.
Impromptu visits by peacocks and goats can be expected.
Our concierge team, Kelly and Traci, will be your on-site hosts. Kelly and Traci are long-time residents of St. John in the hospitality industry and know the island intimately. Both can help you get the most out of your visit! You will be picked up at the ferry dock and taken to Convivare, and on the day of your journey home, you will receive a drop-off at the ferry as well. Don't feel obligated to the rides if you intend to make other contactless arrangements to the villa.
Walkable to town, no rental car needed. From the condo, turn right out of the complex and follow the gentle slope down to the waterfront path into Cruz Bay; restaurants, bars, the taxi stand, and two grocery stores are all within 10 minutes on foot. A grocery cart is provided for your shopping runs.
Prefer to explore the island? Taxis leave from town to the North Shore beaches throughout the day. Rent a car, and there is reserved on-site parking waiting for you.
