Mostly clean. Window blinds were very dirty. There were fruit flies everywhere in the house. The house is old and out dated except for the kitchen and master bath. The pictures online make the home look nicer, newer and larger inside than it is. I attached pictures of the two bowls full of fruit flies we caught with vinegar and dish soap in bowls. Overall, average stay probably wouldn’t stay here again.

This rental was perfect for our family of 5! Our boys slept in the room with bunk beds, while our daughter had her own room, and my husband and I had the master suite with our own full bathroom. All the kitchen necessities were there, and the outdoor shower was perfect for cleaning off before heading back inside from the beach. Location was great, only minutes from groceries, restaurants, and the Ocean Education Center. Additionally, the large couch is comfy and roomy enough for family movie nights. The deck had many seating options and the views were pristine! The only things we would change are…. 1. They need blackout curtains in the kids/bunk bed room otherwise younger children will be up with the sunrise for better or worse. 2. We wish there was a lock on the master bathroom door. The sliding doors don’t allow for much privacy with younger children in the house.

Perfect Family Trip

Turtle Time exceeded our expectations for our family vacation! The house was comfortable and located in a great spot for access to the ocean as well as activities with a short walk or drive. We were thankful for the well-stocked kitchen supplies so we could make some easy meals at home after time on the beach. Thank you for a beautiful stay! We can't wait to return!

Perfect spot on the beach

We loved the warm, simple, nostalgic feeling of a Carolina beach house that this rental provided. The kitchen renovation was a nice feature. Bathrooms are small but nice amenities in the master bath. The access to the beach was the best part of our stay. Wish we could have stayed a few days longer and probably will the next time we're in the area. Rental was very well stocked. Only one small suggestion - the length of the code and the nuances of the door key pad made it very difficult to enter the house. The keypad kept malfunctioning. That in combination with the long code made it frustrating. But other than that our stay was wonderful.

Great property, horrible property manager

This property was wonderful, clean, modern kitchen, beachfront. Bathrooms were a bit dated, but no big issues there. The property manager, Vacasa could not have been less helpful. I tried calling a few times, and ended up waiting for 15 minutes before hanging up. Then, the AC went out and I called asking them to fix. It was 6pm, so they said they couldn’t do anything. It quickly became 80 degrees (would have been miserable with 2 young kids) so we cut our vacation short and left that night. There are after hours services to do this. As well, they did not refund anything from forcing us out of the property at 6pm instead of 10 am the following day. I love thé property, but will never use Vacasa again

The best place I ever stayed

I have been coming to Oak Island and Holden Beach for years now, and this is easily the loveliest place I'd stayed at. There were little things here and there that could be fixed, but all in all, the house was great beautiful, right on the beach, close to the grocery stores. Definitely a favorite.

Great Location

Great Location for Oak Island. Right on beach with great views of the ocean. Everything was clean. New sofa, dishes, glasses. Everything you should need for cooking. The grill needs to be cleaned desperately. Full of grease which ignites easily so be careful. Propane was empty for outdoor fire pit. Was told to refill it and was reimbursed. Beds could stand for an upgrade as well as bathrooms but was functional. TVs worked. We had a great time at the beach.
