The El Bonita is in a great location situated just outside St Helena. The motel is dated and the rooms need updating. Bed was comfortable, linens need updating. Bathroom functioned but toilet ran and tub shower didn't divert all of the water.With some simple upgrades and decor, the place could be a bargain gem. At $150 a night during harvest season, we got what we paid for a bargain stay, we'd go back.

Wonderful, recently renovated rooms! Small but plenty of space for one or two guests. Very quaint with comfortable beds. I had a hard time finding a variety of tv channels and could not access YouTube streaming but wasn’t a deal breaker. Would definitely stay again and found a great price on Expedia!

Great location, staff, and overall property. It’s cool they’re pet friendly and even have a dedicated section for them. The breakfast was below average with no hot food. Only pastries, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. For the price, breakfast isn’t really something to complain about though. Will definitely stay again.
