The Blue Marlin is a charming beach front home with many amenities. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large living room area, bright spacious dining area with seating for 8 and well-equipped kitchen. The living area has plenty of seating, a large flat screen TV with blu ray DVD and streaming. The house also features a stereo/CD player, 3 additional smart TVs in the bedrooms, free wireless internet, hot and cold outdoor shower, fish cleaning sink, games, beach chairs and beach gear.
There is a private game room with a full size slate pool table, foos ball table and a 6 person hot tub! The fenced yard is perfect to keep your furry family members secure.
The master bedroom has a king bed and attached bathroom with a large walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and a full bed, the third bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a crib for our young guests! The 2nd bathroom has a tub/shower combo. All the rooms have large windows to enjoy the wonderful views.
There is Polywood furniture on the upper and lower decks to comfortably relax while you enjoy the view of the Gulf. Dine outside at the table or relax in one of the rockers or chaise lounges!
Walk off the deck and you are on one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The house is on 100' of beachfront offering you fabulous views of sunrises year round and sunsets in the winter!
The Blue Marlin is an amazing vacation location for you and your family. Swim with the dolphins, fish, or just recline on the white, sugary sand. When you're done with the beach, enjoy the outdoor hot/cold shower and prepare the day's catch on the covered park-style charcoal grill. Then enjoy a game of pool and soak in the large hot tub.
At night, enjoy a show from the deck as you watch the stars as they light up the sky! Yes! You can actually see the stars because St. George Island does not have any light pollution!!
In addition to the many amenities, our guests also enjoy discounts from local gear rental stores and for stays up to 21 days, credit towards rentals from VayK!
We are pet friendly! Up to 2 any-size dogs (no other types of pets please) can stay at the house at a time (pet stay will apply – 15% of all pay stays are donated to the Franklin County Humane Society). We supply a large indoor dog crate for your four-legged family members! The fenced yard is perfect for dogs. It has access from the deck (and the deck has a gate as well). Please bring covers if your dog sits on furniture.

For cancellations made 61 days or longer before arrival: 85% of your total booking will be refunded if you cancel more than 60 days prior to your reservation arrival date (VRBO collects their own fee, therefore we cannot refund their portion of your deposit if you booked through VRBO).
For cancellations made within 60 days of your arrival date: The entire amount of the reservation will be forfeited.

A New Years Blast

We loved bringing in the New Year at the property. Lucinda reached out and was very helpful. The view is amazing and the hot tub was the perfect to recover at our Polar Plunge at the Blue Parrot. We had a great time staying here!

Thanksgiving at the beach

This house reminded me of many happy visits to the beach as a kid. We enjoyed the games, the outdoor playroom, the ease of getting to the park, the comfy beds, the incredible view, the fenced porch and yard, etc. The hosts were very responsive as well. This isn't fancy, but it is just right!

Most relaxing stay ever!

We spent my birthday week at The Blue Marlin on St George Island. The place was perfect with all the amenities you could possibly need. Perfect location right on the beach with just steps to the ocean. Beautiful sunrises which we got up early every morning to sit and watch and drink coffee. A turtle nest on the beach even hatched while we were there. Our dog even had a great time and loved walking the beach. We appreciate you sharing your beautiful house with us and our fur baby!

Happy We Went Back!

This was our second vacation at the Blue Marlin and it was just as enjoyable as last year! Located right on St. George Island Beach with its beautiful white sand and amazing sunrises, the house has ALL of the amenities that we could want for a very enjoyable and relaxing beach vacation getaway, plus it's dog-friendly, which is very important to us! We've already made our reservation for the Blue Marlin for next spring and are looking forward to another great stay!

Everything worked out perfect! The home is clean and beautiful. Straight to the beach - used the VayK credit for chairs and large umbrella - those guys were great as well…only problem was - the stay just wasn’t long enough. Looking forward to returning soon!

Perfect Family Getaway

I would give The Blue Marlin six stars if I could. Everything that my husband, my parents and I needed was provided - from bedding and towels, to kitchen tools and quality deck furniture. We did not use the items on the lower level - hot tub, pool table, foosball table, cornhole boards, and multiple bikes, wake boards and beach chairs, but they were in great condition and really nice to have on hand. My parents were excited to have a fenced area for their little dog, and we saw many people walking their dogs on the beach every day. There are several dog-friendly restaurants with outside seating options. We were impressed with the Piggly Wiggly. It is a small store, but has everything available for even the most discerning chef - including a great meat counter. Communication with Tom and Lucinda was outstanding. We can’t wait to visit again!

Great View, Great Place!!

My husband and I, along with our 11 year old Golden Retriever, Katie Rose, recently spent a very enjoyable and relaxing week at the Blue Marlin. This attractive beach house is very comfortably furnished and is located right on the edge of St. George Island's white sandy beach with nothing to obstruct its great ocean views. We ended up spending many hours relaxing out on the Blue Marlin's large, well-furnished, partially covered deck, enjoying the many sights and sounds of the ocean, including watching many beautiful sunrises. We also appreciated the easy access that the Blue Marlin's location gave us for enjoying the beach itself (i.e., walk down the stairs from the deck and you step out onto the beach!). This easy beach access facilitated our having lots of great (and often spontaneous) beach walks with our Katie Rose (who LOVES the beach!) during our stay. We very much appreciate Tom and Lucinda allowing the Blue Marlin to be dog-friendly so that we could vacation with our favorite companion and enjoy all of these great experiences with her! We definitely hope to return for another stay at the Blue Marlin!
