While our stay eventually became enjoyable, the property’s initial condition and communication were subpar. Several cleanliness and logistical hurdles required resolution or reporting.The property was not turnover-ready. We found trash on floors, grimy surfaces, and crumbs on counters. The living room rug was heavily soiled, upstairs bunk beds had stained linens, and a shower curtain was missing. The water temperature throughout the house took a long time to warm up. Additionally, the listing advertised Disney, but it was just the app; guests must provide their own accounts. Determining the host's phone number was frustrating due to inaccurate contact info. The profile number led to VRBO’s general line, and automated texts were unresponsive. We only found resolution after getting the direct number for the management company.The HVAC system was also problematic. Unclear instructions led to an incredibly hot, uncomfortable first night. We later learned both upstairs and downstairs units must be set to the exact same mode and temperature to function.Once reached, the management company was professional and helpful. They quickly provided linens, toiletries, and the missing shower curtain. While the pool and home are lovely once settled, the "day one" experience was disappointing.Tip for next guests: Ensure you have the direct management number and double-check the AC settings immediately upon arrival.
