Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The biggest issue was the earwig infestation. We found so many earwigs throughout the unit, and one even crawled onto my husband while he was sleeping in the middle of the night. Needless to say, that made it very difficult to relax or feel comfortable for the rest of our stay.
Communication was also lacking. Prior to our stay, I never received a check-in email with arrival instructions and had to reach out on the day we were scheduled to arrive just to get the door code. The host did respond quickly when I messaged about needing the code and then again when I messaged about needing wifi information and then again about the earwig issue.
The unit also appears to need some maintenance. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, the bathroom cabinet was broken, and the bedroom door had a loose hinge that prevented it from shutting all the way. Overall, the craftsmanship and upkeep of the property did not meet our expectations.
I hope the host addresses these issues, especially the pest problem and the maintenance concerns, as the property has potential. However, based on our experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
