Lovely location with access to beautiful garden .

Lovely location with access to beautiful garden . Amazingly spotless and stunning welcome pack. Close to all you need to get to in Cornwall. Only downside was the fact the couldn't stop it raining...but guess can't blame the hosts for that. Well worth a stay.

The Garden Studio is a wonderful place to stay in Cornwall.

The Garden Studio is a wonderful place to stay in Cornwall. The owners provide absolutely everything that you need, including lots of fantastic recommendations of places to explore and visit in the area during your stay. The location was perfect for us as we were looking for a central rural base to explore different areas. However, it would be hard to access without a car. This was not an issue for us, and if anything, the quiet location was one of the factors that appealed to us. St Austell is a convenient distance for supermarkets, and there are so many places, both well known and hidden gems, to explore. It is also a perfect place to stay if you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet few days with a beautiful garden and wonderful facilities on site. I highly recommend the Garden Studio and if we revisit the area then we will be looking to book to stay again.

We would highly recommend this property.

We would highly recommend this property. It is the ideal location for visiting Heligan, Eden, Mevagissy, Charlestown and St Austell, The Studio was beautifully presented and very well equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and gave us a lovely welcome on our arrival. The gardens surrounding the Studio were peaceful and relaxing, and the Shepherds Hut was a really lovely added bonus for us to enjoy. We loved staying in the Studio and wouldn't hesitate to come back and enjoy it again.

This studio was perfect for us.

This studio was perfect for us. We booked late and it was in an area we knew well from many years ago. The peace and quiet and the living space in the shepherds hut was a lovely extra. The only slight downside is that the studio can get quite warm being in the roof space but the weather wasn't warm enough for it to trouble us. There is a good fan to help with that and shades on the windows.

As a retired couple who are both still pretty active for our ages this cottage was well suited to our requirements, hence our booking! We used the Garden Studio as a base for visiting the parts of west Cornwall that we had not visited when we stayed in a cottage on Bodmin Moor earlier in the year. Relatively easy road access to both north and south coasts from here with places like The Lizard, St. Ives, Pendennis Castle all within about ninety minutes driving time. We made use of both the Truro Park and Ride and the St. Erth to St. Ives one, (this being a train journey along the coast). Strongly recommend using the P&R as the parking is limited and in St. Ives the streets are very narrow with loads of people milling about the place. The Garden Studio is well equipped, we couldn't think of anything that was missing. The Welcome Box was a nice touch and much appreciated. We managed to walk around the attached gardens and grounds and visited the Shepherds Hut, that too was well thought out and complete with a wood burning stove, fridge, toilet and hot drink making facilities. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to just sit and read in the hut as the weather was better than we had expected and we spent our time travelling around. There are few local shops and eating places within a ten to fifteen minute drive, however there is a large Waitrose just by the P&R for Truro which is very well stocked with a Cornwall Produce section in one corner. Seeing as practically all routes west have to go via Truro it came a no-brainer place to stop at. We were basically self contained as we brought the essential stuff with us and picked up dairy provisions and meat/cheese from local suppliers enroute. The outdoor steps to access the property might be an issue for people with less mobility than us and anyone expecting sizzling wi-fi availability will be disappointed. That said we had no problem accessing what we needed to, albeit slower than we are used to, but hey, we were on holiday!Jess, the host, is a lovely lady who visited after we arrived and she gave us the low down on where things were and how things worked. There are also comprehensive folders containing manuals and a history of the property, plenty of books to read and Sky TV.
