Honest review. I understand you get what you pay for but there are simple basics. Unfortunately I can't post pictures here but work needed to be done to the room in a major way. Water damage on ceiling, dirt in the corners, and rust & mold. The price was great but it us what it is.

The backside of the bathroom door needed to be washed just above the doorkknob (it had brown on it). The bathroom itself was clean and had been updated in recent years. The main room was dated. I liked that the bedspread was white so you could see that it was clean. Villa 1565 is within easy walking distance of historic downtown which is very convenient, and we felt quite safe even at 10 p.m walking back to our room. Big plus-parking on site and NOT an extra charge. Breakfast was basic with eggs, sausage, etc but at least they had it onsite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we did not eat breakfast there we got up to late, close to downtown and walking distance to many restaurants along the way to town, we had a leak in our ceiling so we switched to the other bed for the night.

Our room was dirty and worn. The bedsheet had a stain on it by the pillow. Our building was 50 feet from a noisy road. We heard loud car traffic all night long. The heater did not maintain a consistent temperature. The motel is convenient to the center of town and parking is free. Breakfast was typical of hotels/motels that offer free breakfast.

The room smelled like dirty mop with a lot of Clorox, bathtub was rusty, floor was disgusting, the attendant on the breakfast area was rude and when spoked to by anyone he wouldn’t respond just point at things. The only reason I give it two stars is because of it location.

Very old and dated motel our first room stunk really badly of Damp so we were moved to another room which didn’t smell quite as bad but still smelt of damp. Sheets were clean but Damp rooms nothing like the pictures. I think it had been renovated about 20 years ago, but very very cheaply. Parking was great right in front of our room.

The room was clean, but the refrigerator is small. The staff at breakfast was very on top of things and did a great job cleaning up the tables and keeping the items replenished. The front desk staff were not very friendly. We tried to call the front desk multiple times with no answer, so we just walked over to the office. Also at check-in seemed a bit snappy too.
