The room was awesome. Nice comfortable king bed, plenty of space in the bedroom, bathroom and separate living room/ eat in breakfast nook. The tile in the bathroom was beautiful with a nice hot shower. We enjoyed the fire pits in the morning for breakfast and in the evening. Staff was phenomenally polite and helpful. Breakfast was hot scones, croissants and muffins plus bacon, frittatas, salmon & capers plus fruit and yogurt. The only minor inconvenience was that the internet connection didn’t work well in the room and I had to go up to the office area to connect.

Quiet oasis in the middle of Saint Augustine. Easy walk to activities and dining. They also provide a great list of recommend restaurants. The bar called the Well was fantastic. Unique cocktails and fun staff.

Beautiful grounds/Glum Staff

We stayed here five years ago. Loved it! We splurged to go here again ($1300 for two weekend nights). Our experience was very different. The mood was glum. Except for the bartender and one of the valets, no one smiled or went out of their way to be helpful or welcoming. We found the service at chain hotels to be more friendly. The gardens and pool remain the same, pretty. The suite was very clean, but some of the furniture is showing wear. Parking is by valet and inconvenient. Every time we needed something from the car, we needed to call the valet. The parking lot is quite a ways away. Breakfast was nice but cold the second day. Maybe this was a one-off, but it is enough to send us to another hotel next time.

The check in was very disappointing. The gentleman didn’t explain the amenities and I found out towards the end of my trip about many of them. He was in a hurry. The rest of the staff was helpful and kind.

Lovely property and central to everything we wanted to do in St. Augustine. Breakfast could have used a few more options and variety as we were there for a week, but overall it was fine. The beauty and tranquil (mostly) made up for the breakfast. The “elevator” music playing by the pool and outside the bar all day long until after 10 at night got old after awhile. The gardens were beautiful and well arranged and our suite was very comfortable. So glad we picked this place to stay for the entire time.
