This property is in a great building and excellent location to the station and town. You can see the train tracks from the property therefore as expected you can hear the trains especially if any windows/doors are open. It is marketed as a luxury suite, on the surface it does appear that way with a nice layout and furniture. On closer inspection, there are several defects that could use attention like the bathroom door handles needing fixing, tape holding the ensuite shower together, furniture stains, cut lamp wires which if fixed would meet the luxury status more so. Our main issue was the suite was not clean when we checked in at 4:30 pm after a long and hot travel day with young kids. Rubbish was piled up, dirty dishes, unclean floors/surfaces so we had to leave and return a few hours later. The owner was gracious to allow us a later 2 hour check out time which was appreciated. The level of cleanliness was below standards after house keeping completed their duties, the carpeted floors still had various hair, kitchen/bathroom areas needed a mop. Given the state of the place when we arrived and likely rush to have the suite ready, I assume short cuts were taken and unfortunately they were visible. Communication via Vrbo was great, and and the owner was responsive. Overall the location was excellent, some suite fixes would elevate the guest experience and deep cleaning would definitely be encouraged. Tea towels and shower mats would be a great addition too.
