Our family has an excellent time staying at the Teal Turtle! It was the perfect spot, just a couple house of the main river. Being at this spot, you are really close to the most beautiful spots on the river that make Weeki Wachee so wonderful to boat and play on. We stayed much further down river last time and this spot was perfect. It was great having access to the 6 kayaks and we rented a boat from Weeki Wachee Marina both days so we could easily get up river and our dogs could join the fun. The house and yard were great, and met all of our needs. The swim mat was a fabulous addition and we had a lot of fun laying and playing on that. We planned to have a fire in the fire pit, but never ending up fitting it in. It is a great addition to have though, especially in cooler months. One of the best parts about this rental is they are truly pet friendly! We always vacation with our dogs and often have a hard time finding places that will work. The back yard was completely fenced in, which was a great feature so we could all hangout by the river with no worries of our dogs getting out (unless they decide to swim across the river, which I was worried my curious dog might do now that she is becoming quite the swimmer lol). Kelly and her husband were extremely attentive and accommodating hosts and they truly want you to have a 5 star experience. I highly recommend booking with them for any of their Experience Weeki properties. Treat yourself to a river getaway! You won't regret it!
