This is a very nice little hotel. The room was clean and recently renovated, very comfortable. I'm sometimes reticent about renting from small independent hotels because they're often in poor condition. Not so for queen City - it was a better place for a better price than the big chain hotels.

This is great place to stay in the Northern Black Hills, and great place to spend the evening Downtown Spearfish. Our evening started with a stroll through the alley to a Wine shop that had a great back yard. We enjoyed a glass and then made our way to Nona's kitchen, which is one of the best Italian places in South Dakota.. After dinner we made our way to the Tucked Tie, for their specialty drinks. . We were able to walk back up to the Queen City Inn, after a great night in Spearfish. The only thing that would make this a perfect place would be that they would put king size beds in.

The rooms are small but very clean, newly remodeled. The property needs some blackout curtains as the outdoor lights are very bright and the shades don’t really block the room from being fully lit in the evenings.

The Queen City Inn was unexpected. It was cute and had everything we needed. The space had a full-size fridge and mini dishwasher. The sitting area had a nice couch and the bed was comfy. It was nicely updated and had an easy check-in and out. We will be going back!
