I was quite disappointed with my stay at this Holiday Inn. The room had a noticeable smell of mould, particularly in the bathroom, and I woke up with a chesty cough, which was concerning. Check-in felt very hit and miss, and the hotel felt uncomfortably warm overall. I was also surprised to be charged £7 for parking as a hotel guest — it feels unreasonable to pay extra just to park. On top of that, there was a constant clicking noise coming from the headboard throughout the night, which woke me up and made it difficult to sleep. Overall, it really wasn’t the best night’s stay, and not what I would expect from a Holiday Inn.

Room was ok and hotel was great, but really frustrated that you provide shampoo but no conditioner in the shower. I rang down and nobody had any, but suggested I pay £7 for some in the vending machine. It wouldn’t have broke the bank but it was just the principle over anything. They come as a pair. You don’t provide a toilet with no toilet roll or a window with no curtains. A simple fix I hope. The full Breakfast was stale and cold, really bad sausages and awful hash browns, croissants looked like they’d been squashed and then put out and they were also stale. Tea and coffee was good, staff lovely, comfy night for the price in reality however a few little fixes.
