Summary:
One bedroom and one bathroom for up to four guests: a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed for two in the living room. The apartment is on the third floor of a modern block in central Southampton, with a lift, a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a desk space and Wi-Fi. Bedford Place is about 3 minutes' walk, the Mayflower Theatre 11 and Southampton Central station 15, so you won't need a car.
The Space:
Sleeping
UK bed sizes: a double is similar to a US full.

Living room: sofa bed for two.
Bed linen, spare pillows and blankets, and blackout blinds are provided.
Bathroom
One shower room. Every guest gets towels, and we leave a hair dryer and starter toiletries.
Kitchen and dining
Cook with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and kettle, and start the day with the pod coffee machine. Pans, a baking tray, plates, cutlery and wine glasses are all there, and the dining table seats four.
Living room
A sofa, a TV and a shelf of board games for evenings in, plus the dining table, which doubles as a place to work.
Everyday practicals
Wi-Fi and a space to work, a washer for laundry, an iron, hangers and storage, heating controlled at each radiator, fans, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. Tea, coffee and milk are there when you arrive.
Getting in
Self check-in: the building door has a code, and the key is in a lockbox at the apartment. Codes and directions come before your stay.
Staying longer
Some guests stay several weeks for work or study; the kitchen, laundry and central location make everyday life simple.
Travelling with children
Children and babies are welcome, and the lift helps with a pushchair. There's no cot or high chair, so pack a travel cot for a baby.
Bringing your dog
One dog is welcome, and a pet fee applies.
Good to know
In warm weather the apartment heats up, because the block's windows are sealed shut. We supply fans; the building has no air cooling. The lift is slow at times, and the stairs are an alternative.
Guest Access:
Guests have the whole apartment. Enter the building from Bellevue Road; the key is in a lockbox at the apartment door. Arrive between 4 and 9 pm and leave by 10 am. No parking space comes with it: there are pay bays on Bellevue Road, and Kings Road has a long-stay car park.
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is on London Road in central Southampton. On foot: Bedford Place in 3 minutes, Watts Park in 7, the O2 Guildhall in 9, the Mayflower Theatre 11, Southampton Central 15, WestQuay 16, St Mary's Stadium and the Bargate 18, and the City Cruise Terminal 25. Families can picnic in Watts Park or catch a show at the Mayflower. By car, the New Forest at Lyndhurst is about 22 minutes, and the university about 7.
Getting Around:
Southampton Central station, for fast trains to London Waterloo, is about 15 minutes' walk. Buses run along London Road, and Southampton Airport Parkway is around 9 minutes by car.
