I was surprised by the high-quality fixtures and room amenities that were provided in a 2-star establishment. More than sufficient as a staging area before trekking to the beach or driving down the road for shopping. Plus, you just can't beat the breakfast.

The property could use a refresh. It was mediocre at best. The room was big, and the walk to the beach through a neighborhood and down a street wasn't terrible, but it was not great either. The price is fair for what I experienced. But if I could afford better, I'd probably not pick this one.

Roaches in the room. Notified the desk clerk at checkout. The clerk said, “we all have them at our house.” No we do not they are disease carriers. We own investment properties and we have no roaches and if they do appear we exterminate to rid them.

Big comfortable rooms

Big comfortable rooms with wonderful lighting options. The hotel smells horrible, it is very moldy. Our saving grace was bringing a portable air purifier that cleaned the air in our room enough to stop the asthma caused by walking through the common areas.

Great family stay!

We had a great stay! We came out to south Padre Island for a day at the beach. They allowed us to do early check-in, which is great. We enjoyed the hot tub and the swimming pool. We were also just a few minutes walk away from the beach front. We enjoyed a hot and delicious breakfast. I’ve never seen a pancake be made on a conveyor belt, but it was super cool to My Girls to watch it Be done. They had a variety of breads, sausage and cheese omelettes super yummy. We will definitely be back for another stay at Holiday Inn.
