South Mission Beach is a great location for you to holiday at lazing under the trees on the beach as you gaze out to Dunk Island is a treat. If you are boating enthusiast, you have a choice of 2 boat ramps. There is the beach boat ramp at the end of Kennedy Esplanade or the Hull River boat ramp offering a pontoon for you to tie up to. Not wishing to cook... enjoy a relaxed meal at Tuskers on the Beach at the Tasman Caravan Park. Bowerbirds Pantry is open Monday to Friday for coffee and light meals as well as local produce. Woolworths Supermarket at Wongaling Beach is just a 5 - 10 min drive. The quaint shopping village of Mission Beach is just 10-15 minutes drive and offers a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars. There is also Lenny’s Local Fruit & Vegetable store and a great mini mart. You will be tempted at Helen Wiltshire Gallery or one of the fashion or gift stores. The new swimming pool is located at Mission Beach including a hydrotherapy pool. The “Dunk and Splash” water play pad is on the foreshore of Wongaling Beach. The first and third Sunday of each month there a markets in the Ulysses park at Mission Beach. The Mission Beach Monster Markets are held on the last Sunday of each month from Easter Sunday until November. During the stinger months (November to May) there is a stinger enclosure at South Mission Beach. It is recommended to have a car when staying at South Mission Beach. Another option available is hiring a push bike. This is a great way to get out and about Mission Beach. Riding along the beach is a real treat.
