The Space:

JJJ’s Ranch Farm 2BR Tiny House by Tiny Away is located in South Kolan, just 22 minutes from Bundaberg. This pet-friendly farm stay is surrounded by friendly donkeys, sheep, alpacas, pig, a miniature horse, mango trees and a peaceful dam. With plenty of space to relax and unwind, two holiday homes sit side by side, offering a great spot to enjoy the fire pit, unwind in nature and watch the friendly farm animals wander by.



Nearby attractions include the Bundaberg Rum Factory, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, Botanic Gardens, Alexandra Park Zoo, and Burnett Heads beach.



This double-unit holiday home is ideal for families or small groups traveling together, offering exclusive access to two-adjacent tiny houses featuring. One features a cozy queen-size bed, while the second tiny house is located just steps away and is perfect for children or additional guests. This unique setup provides added privacy and flexibility while still keeping everyone close.



Each unit is equipped with easy access to water, air conditioning, a kitchenette (including a fridge, microwave, and cooking equipment), and bathroom facilities. These include a cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower for hot water.



IMPORTANT NOTE: There are four holiday homes on the property and may be available for additional guests with 24 hours’ notice, providing an option for larger groups while still allowing everyone to enjoy their own cozy, private tiny home.



Guest Access:

Both tiny homes include an iron, ironing board, washing machine, clothesline, and wash baskets.



Guests have access to the tiny home, our secure dog yard (where pets must be supervised), the backyard, play area, swimming pool with waterslide, and the undercover recreation area with table tennis, air hockey, and picnic tables.



Advisory:



- Dogs and pets are not permitted on the beds or floor mats. Guest can bring their pet’s own bed or purchase a dog bed from us for $20.

- Please note that the spa and the undercover area attached to the main house are not available for guest use. The pool and backyard are open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

It sits in a region known for its rich volcanic soil and thriving agricultural community. This farm stay is set in a laid-back rural area where farm animals outnumber people and locals wave from their utes.



Just a short drive away, enjoy hearty meals and live music at South Kolan Hotel Motel and Bucca Hotel, discover local flavours with tours and tastings at The Bundaberg Barrel, Kalki Moon Distilling & Brewing Company, and Macadamias Australia, or savour fresh local seafood at Grunske's by the River.



For family-friendly outings, visit the free-entry Alexandra Park Zoo, or head to Mon Repos Turtle Centre and Burnett Heads for a relaxing coastal escape.



Getting Around:

By Car:



- Approx. 4.5 hours from Brisbane

- 20 minutes from both Bundaberg and Gin Gin

- 45 minutes from Childers



By Public Transport:



- There is no direct public transport to the farm.

- Taxis and Uber are available from Bundaberg or Gin Gin with advance booking

- Bundaberg has both an airport and a train station for regional connections



By Flight:



- Fly into Bundaberg Airport from Brisbane (multiple daily flights)

- From the airport, it’s about a 20-minute drive to the farm—car rental, taxi, or Uber required



Other Things to Note:

- Wifi is available in all tiny houses

- Smoking is allowed in designated areas only

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Close all gates behind you to keep animals safe and secure

- Children must be supervised at all times, especially near water

- Mobile reception has weak signals for Telstra and Optus; No signals for the rest

- We would like to advise guests that later check-outs will incur an additional charges

- FARM SAFETY NOTICE: Please keep a safe distance from farm animals as they are easily agitated

- Please recycle cans and bottles in the large tub near the green shed or the black crates at the yard entrance.



Additional Amenities



- Pool access is available for an additional $15 fee

- Campgrounds are located near the tiny house

- Shared pizza oven available for both tiny houses.

- Gas BBQ grill is available upon request, on a first-come, first-serve basis

- Food scrap buckets are available on request for feeding the farm animals.



Pet Policy



- A $15 pet fee per pet is payable directly to the land host before check-in.

- Pets must be on leash at all times Please contact contact land host 24 hours’ before booking, if you are bringing a pet. Further pet information/reminder will be provided closer to your booking date.



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas

- All fires are subject to land host permission, and must not be used during official fire ban restrictions

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding
