We stayed for one night during our Ring road trip. It was a convenient location and we had a good night sleep in the guesthouse. The only downside is the showers are extremely small and difficult for an adult to fit into. But the beds were comfortable and the common room upstairs was well equipped, so no major complaints for the price.

WARNING This is crap, a NOGO. Expensive and no value for the money. The hosts only interest is your money but not so keen on providing any comfort. Tear the place down. Without competition the Worst place in our one week round trip in Iceland

The room was clean but smelled a bit musty. The shower head would not stay upright so had to be used hand held. The washroom was quite small. The building felt like a summer camp dorm with the rooms downstairs and the common area above.

Terrible experience, pictures hype up the property. Is not even worth $100. Less than a motel. Only thing going for it is near Skogafoss waterfall (within 5 minutes drive). Not sure where the thermal pool shown in the picture is, NO VALUE at all for the $200+ charges including taxes needing charged for double beds.

This property should not be listed on Expedia.The listing does not make it clear that the accommodation is essentially a trailer/mobile home, which was very disappointing. The service was completely nonexistent, there was no staff available to help with anything, and they didn't even provide toilet paper in the bathroom. By far this was the worst place I have ever stayed. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I could not get the key to open the room, could not get in touch with any of the staff , there is no phone on the lobby. there was another family that was trying to get in their room and also could not enter. they never emailed the code to that family

The room was so small for 3 of us . The number to contact the cottage in-charge was not reachable . We had a power cut and something was alarming the entire night after the power cut .. No one picked up the phone .. bad experience

I booked two rooms and one room is standard size. The other one is too small. We can't keep the bags. And both of them the showers are too narrow-14 inches wide. And the shower curtain is lying on our body during showers. Very bad experience. But the common kitchen is good.

There was no staff at the property and no one answered the phone when I tried contacting them regarding a problem. Their lobby sign said to use the phone they provided to call but there was NO PHONE. To top it off, the next day our room was double booked and I had to help those people to figure out how to call them. They actually spoke to someone though.

This was one of the more expensive places we stayed in Iceland. They first sent an email (with the wrong phone number to contact). We weren't concerned because they said they had a "free" phone to contact the manager to get into our room. There was no phone. The room was really small (2 beds/ small space between them). The shared area was nice (kitchen, seating). There was a TV, but it didn't work. A family from the"$500" rooms came and used our kitchen because there wasn't enough cooking equipment to use in their cabin. The coolest thing about the area was the "free" pool down the road that you have to walk along the creek bed to find. Heated pool and fun experience. This place was clean and had a place to lay your head. Not sure it was worth $250.

Basic clean room with small en-suite bathroom. Large communal lounge/rec-room/kitchen area with refrigerator, kettle, a couple of hotplates and a microwave. TV. Awesome views of the glacier. An easy 30 minute drive to Vik. There are a couple of cafes nearby but we didn’t investigate those, just saw the signs. The reason I said the staff is terrible is that there aren’t any. You have to call ahead for the room number and lockbox code. Nobody answered so if there had not been a cleaner onsite who helped us to get in touch with the property manager we would not have been able to get into our rooms!!!

Checking in was a nightmare. They tell you to call a number but no one answers. So many guests were waiting in the parking lot, while we were there. We waited for an hour to get in. Once in, the room smelled musty. The radiator wasn't hooked up or capped. We turned it on by accident and water poured out onto the electric radiator right next to it. Then the hair dryed was on the floor behind the toilet. Besides being gross, another fire hazard.
