The owners were amazing and very nice. The rooms were a good size and they were clean. The views were spectacular. I will say make sure you bring food to cook or eat before. Not much around but thats why i loved it so much. It was only 20 minutes to the closest restaurant.

My biggest regret of the trip is only spending one night here. The room was spacious but it t was bright and we could hear the neighbors. We were greeted with a freshly baked cake upon arrival. The studio was large with a well stocked kitchen. Kitchen appliances, cups and cutlery, salt and pepper and all the spices you could want in the main kitchen. The he beds were perfect and the river stone shower was unique. There is a cold tub and a hot tub, as well. The two dogs make the perfect tour guides around the property, just play tug of war first. They guided me to the water fall and the dairy. A short walk away is the bra fence and a cave. Across the street is a lagoon. The wind is noticeably calmer at this location. It was a real treat to stay there and multiple days would be the move.

The whole atmosphere was like staying at close relative's home. The warm detail touches in the room, the welcoming brownies and cake for guests, the obvious thought put into everything for the best guest experience, etc. We wished we could have stayed many more nights.

We got the house/ loft to ourselves ( group of 4) . Has an amazing view of the falls on the mountain side and the lake on the other! There’s a hot tub for guests to use. House was clean and complete with kitchen , microwave and washer and dryer. Two things that we forgot to tell the host were the pillows were thin , a bit more support would be nice and the upstairs door is hard to lock and needs to be slammed shut. We only stayed for 1 night and it was a good stay overall!

Felt more like a BnB than a “hotel”. The room was nicely decorated and well appointed. Radiant floor heat in the bathroom, hot tub facing the water with sunset views & delicious pastries made by the Inn owner each day.

Feels like home

This hotel is located in a beautiful location on the south coast, at the base of a waterfall AND in front of the ocean. You are greeted with baked goods and the Owner's two dogs. Such a unique little gem. It's the perfect stop between Reykjavík and Vik, and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. The rooms are very raw and basic, but the perfect vibe.

It's wonderful little hotel is located convenient to boat tours and many interesting attractions. There's a waterfall that you can see from the hot tub. Bird lovers will enjoy watching fulmars flying over the high cliffs near the waterfall, and in the fall, you can see migrating whooper swans in the field next to a bakery five minutes away. The bakery has excellent baked goods and sandwiches. Are hostess at the garage provided freshly baked goodies for us every morning. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was very cute and comfortable. We had the Henhouse and there were chickens sleeping in their bed. Up on the hill behind the place were water falls and striking hills. This place is really one of a kind and Anna shares fresh baked cookies. Don’t pass this place up if you are looking at a place on the south ring road!

Anna was so lovely. Her baked goods were amazing. She waited a little bit later for us to check in which we appreciated as we had stopped to grab a bite to eat because there’s not much to eat in the area. We were very grateful that she surprised us with an upgrade, that was a game changer! The room was amazing. Quiet. The waterfall was all you could hear. We saw the northern lights right from our deck, which was amazing. Everyone was friendly. The hot tub was a nice perk. I recommend staying here and the property is beautiful. Just a short ride to Vik and right down the road from an amazing horseback riding place that we found on a whim. The Fence of Bras is right near the entrance to their driveway. Ty again! We hope he back someday!!!

This room is good enough for a decent stay. Not super luxurious but comfortable. Very clean. There is a small hob (cooktop) if you want to cook a basic meal. A few cookware, spoons, small knife, plates, cups and glasses are available too. The view from the porch is exceptional. Parking is not a problem. We stayed 2 nights.

The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The kitchenette had what we needed. The best part was the host and the animals around the property. The host made hommade desserts which were fantastic. There are horses, dogs and sheep around the property which were so fun the watch and say hi to. The host had our rooms ready early and reached out to let us know when we could check in.

Anna and Siggi’s place was absolutely lovely! Anna was very helpful and had fresh bread in the check in area when we arrived. Our little suite was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. My daughter loved the dogs and being so close to the ponies. We definitely recommend the Garage if you’re traveling to southern Iceland and want a cozy place to stay with an beautiful view of the water and mountains!
