Guesthouse Lilja was comfortable and conveniently located for our visit to Hofn and the surrounding areas. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but sufficient and included in the price. We would definitely stay again!

I think they have two guesthouses, and we stayed in the older one. (Not sure how that’s assigned, although we did book very last minute). The walls in our room were thin (you could hear distinct voices next door although not what was actually being said), and the bathroom was a bit musty. The breakfast was a great deal and offered fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, and carrot cake.

Location is good to see the aurora borealis unfortunately it was raining that night that we stayed overnight so got no chance to see it. I love the country vibe and the good view of the 2 or 3 glacier tongue. Everything was good except for our bathroom tiles which is slightly elevated from the others.
