Relax in luxury in your own private home in the quiet gated beachside community of Bahia Arena, one of only two neighborhoods of single family homes on the beach in Cabarete bay. Stroll one block down to private ocean access with a cup of coffee in the morning to check the wind and waves, dip into your own private pool to cool off in the afternoon sun, and walk along the Cabarete Bay beach in the evenings to dozens of restaurants and renowned nightlife.

Cabarete is a great family destination with excellent dining, water sports, yoga, spa services and adventure tours at your fingertips. There are activities for everyone. Our home offers walking distance access to all that the bay has to offer, while being far enough from the action so as not to be disturbed by the sounds of Cabarete's vibrant night life. Close enough to enjoy it all, but far enough to carve out your own quiet retreat for family meals, rest, and relaxation.

Our home is a beautifully light and breezy 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home designed with a Caribbean lofted ceiling to take advantage of Cabarete's persistent sea breezes. Our front lawn is a perfect spot to dry kites and boards, or to gather for a private afternoon yoga session. Our small private pool is nestled into the front garden for privacy, and all day accessibility.

The home is setup perfectly for families, Our two families of 4, regularly stay at the house together in comfort. If you like to cook and prepare family meals, our kitchen is well- equipped with all the essentials, top among them a first-rate blender for frozen drinks down by the beach. The main dining room table has 6 seat chairs in the set, but pull in the chairs from the adjacent patio dining table for larger gatherings.

Each of the bedrooms sports its own air conditioning unit and the home has ceiling fans throughout to help supplement the natural passive cooling of the home's design. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom, and bedrooms 2 and 3 share access to a second bathroom. A newly added set of full-size top and bottom bunkbeds supplements the queen bed in the third bedroom make for a great kids dormitory room, or for larger groups of friends on a kiteboarding adventure. The half bath with toilet and vanity is accessible off of the main living area.

If you plan to work remotely during your stay, our high speed internet access is excellent with ample speed for video conferencing. Bahia Arena has backup generator service should there be any storm or services related interruption to the municipal electricity or water.

One of the best features of our home is the neighborhood. Many of our neighbors are full-time residents, and people we count among our friends. We feel totally safe with our kids traveling back and forth to the beach and to neighbors houses without supervision. The security personnel posted at the gated entrance, throughout the neighborhood, and at the beach access make this a truly doors unlocked community, a rare luxury in the Caribbean. The neighborhood's shaded and grass lined private beach area is hands down the best place in Cabarete for a morning cup of coffee or for evening happy hour. A grass area for rigging kites and leaving gear when you are out on the water is a real treat for the kiteboarder in your group.

In addition to the neighborhood security personnel, your stay will be assisted by Carlos our gardener who tends to the neighborhood grounds, as well as our pool, and garden. Expect him for about an hour in the morning, he's able to run fresh bottles of water for you for a few hundred pesos. Yakayra, our housekeeper is on site 3 days a week to clean and change linens, and is also available to cook for your group on your request (at an added charge). Albe, our neighbor and conveniently the president of the homeowners association is able to help quickly troubleshoot any facilities related issues and schedule the right person to troubleshoot any facilities related issues that may arise during your stay. Jim, one of the homeowner is available via the app to help concierge any other needs you might have.

We have absolutely fallen in love with Cabarete, with Bahia Arena, and with our home, affectionately known as "Gnarnia" for all the gnarly waves and wind we have scored in our time here.
